Sunday, June 25, 2000, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan addressed an audience before the beginning, Monday, of a week long General Assembly so-called " Social Summit ", in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was on eliminating world poverty, but the subject matter of the day was the socialist nature of the elimination of national borders and the disservice this actually is doing. The tone of his remarks were not positive criticism for a failed world socialist agenda being pushed hard by the morally bankrupt Clinton administration and a socialist filled State Department obsessed with knocking down international borders through an erroneous plan of free trade. It is being reported that Kofi Annan suggested that the failed economic measures designed to open up the world in an effort to create the climate necessary for ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT has only benefitted the global rich and in fact harmed the masses! " Some have lost their jobs. Others see their communities disintegrating. Some feel that their very identity is at stake ", Annan reportedly said. Taking a shot directly at the Clinton administration Annan continued, " Even in the richest and most democratic countries, people wonder if the leaders they elect have any real control over events "? Firing a real broadside at the evil forces of Fabian socialism at work in Washington D.C. and other corrupt capitols around the world, Annan predicted, " Private corporations produce most of the wealth in the world; if only for that reason, we would be foolish to ignore them "! Treaties like NAFTA and GATT and the WTO ( World Trade Organization ) and the IMF ( International Monetary Fund, including the World Bank ) were supposedly designed to benfit the world's masses, including those in the United States of America, but the desired outcome has not blossomed as of yet. Annan did fold on his ultimate criticism for these failed international policies. Annan caved in that, " If some of them have pursued mistaken policies, haven't we all at one time or another "?
Mistakes? I don't think the Clinton administration cronies would own up to NAFTA, GATT, IMF, WORLD BANK and WTO as mistakes of any kind. This puny plan at world-wide governmental control of all that is human under one roof is nothing less than any other dictator's number one wish to take over the world, or remake the world in his own craven image! NAFTA:
The majority of Republican legislators, a few Democrats and the inhabitant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue all assured us that NAFTA would bring added prosperity to American and Mexican ( cough, Canadian? ) businesses alike. They asserted that the SUCKING SOUND FROM THE SOUTH, which Ross Perot predicted in a pre-NAFTA debate with Al Gore ( Gore's lying in the debate in support of NAFTA is reason enough never to vote for him for any elected office ), would never surface. Well folks, Perot was right. The tiny trade surplus we had with Mexico before NAFTA has grown into a multi-billion dollar deficit and the sucking sound of American businesses moving their factories to the cheap labor market country of Mexico is only eclipsed by the sound of indigenous American jobs being lost to the factories being built in the communist Red Chinese, People's Republic of China ( where our deficit with that country is growing almost exponentially )!
GATT:
This is the truely global version of NAFTA. Some economists may think dropping all trade barriers is a terrific idea, but how can a country with labor unions and minimum wage laws ( USA ) compete with a country using slave labor with no laws governing the wages, they don't pay ( PRC )? The obvious answer is that it cannot!
IMF:
The International Monetary Fund is just a fancy name for a world organized crime organization. We have flushed billions of dollars down the toilets of crime and corruption in Russia and Indonesia, for instance. The Russian crime bosses simply stold the money and gave each other pardons ( the out going Yeltsin, for instance ) and others were more imaginative, opening up Swiss bank accounts to funnel funds into. WORLD BANK:
Who's idea was this originally anyhow? Does anybody really think that third world nations will live up to their committments to pay back the international loans? Either way, the corrupt governmental officials and fatcats receiving the funds ( and wide-spread bribes ) are the only ones who benefit, not the oppressed common people who are still working for peanuts! WTO:
The WTO is Bill Clinton's idea of the blueprint for a world governing body, using commerce as it's arm-twister. The problem is that the model is one country gets one vote and this obviously just doesn't work when you still have countries using slave labor and polluting the environment at an alarming rate. Why we would want to undercut our own American businesses by having them follow rules, but on the other had exempting the countries which use slave labor and manufacturing processes guaranteed to hasten the build-up of greenhouse gases, is anybody's guess!
Well, the results are in and the outlook is not rosey unless you are a multi-millionaire international business owner. The number of people who live under poverty is not going down. Since 1995 the United Nations estimated number of people living in absolute poverty, earning less than a dollar a day ( a daily wage to strive for in communist Red China ), has climbed about 200 million people to 1.2 billion! Previously, the WTO had to endure protests in Geneva and violent protests in Seattle. It is being reported that a protesters' sign on Sunday pictured the organization's director as a vampire. I would suggest that this vampire will quickly run out of fresh blood to devour, if the current evil agenda is allowed to continue!
