Here it is August 7, 2000 and they are closing down freeway on and off ramps in downtown Los Angeles in preparation for the arrival of Democrat delegates to their nominating convention at the Staples Center next week. I pity the poor commuter stuck this morning in his or her automobile on the freeway/parking lot. While some LA residents may think the Democrat party holding it's national nominating convention in Los Angeles is just a nuisance, others may take offense at the freeway closures and wholesale violations of the 10PM to 6AM city aircraft overflights curfew.
The poeple of LA and their Republican mayor obviously thought hosting the Democrat National Committee was going to be a profitable money making affair, especially after the DNC pledged several millions of dollars as compensation. The powers that be in Los Angeles should have known not to trust a Democrat ( lying or otherwise ). Little did they know about the follie of their puny plan; as the best kept dirty little secret was that the heavily Democrat populated LA County supervisors would vote to pay the DNC just for the chance to host their love-in, at the very last moment ( very convenient, don't you think? )!
Yes, you heard me correctly; instead of receiving millions of dollars to host thousands of delegates and the disruptive media circus which accompanies it, the morally bankrupt LA City Fathers have voted to pay the DNC?
I SMELL A BIG FAT democRAT!
It is not enough to wake everyone up at 6AM with Democrat ( VIP? ) aircraft-flight alarm clocks and to take vast numbers of precious police away from their normal important local civic duties protecting the people, for special crowd control and convention security; but now they pay the disruptors to clog Los Angeles freeways and streets at the height of the annual tourist season? This is absolute insanity!
So now it is out for everyone to see, though the back room California quid pro quo underground river is obviously flowing quick and deep. The injustice of using millions of taxpayer dollars, both Democrat and Republican, for this expensive cheap shot from the DNC sickens my stomache!
You would only know about this incredible outrage and probable secretive hidden quid pro quo, if you listened to George Putnam's radio show on KIEV 870-AM ( and on the internet ), when Los Angeles City Councilman Joel Wachs called up and told him when the vote came down. Originally, I believe the DNC promised 4 million dollars as a deposit to the city, but Wachs informed the local ( and international ) media audience of the partisan vote in Los Angeles to give the Democrats a 2 million dollar bribe instead of accepting the payment? Addtionally, Wachs informed the public that another vote to cough up even more millions was soon to come. This type of political shinnanigans could only go on in a state like KKKalifornia, home of the infamous Hsi-Lai Buddhist temple Vice Presidential campaign fund raising stop and with the morally bankrupt National Socialist Wing ( NSDAP ) firmly in charge of the national Democrat party.
Mark my words and read my lips: YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS OUTRAGE REPORTED ON TELEVISION.
Somehow it just makes sense that the GOP would pay for their own convention but the integrity lacking DNC sells theirs? It sort of reminds me of selling the parking meter contracts in Little Rock or overnight stays in the Lincoln bedroom.
It has now turned out that the party of FDR is also the party of panhandling in downtown LA!
