Weak End Warriors?

Spineless Sunday spinmeisters spew spontaneous, saccharine, sanctimonious, sacrilege; but atleast they were brief.

*' Bleating duress ' Tim Russert tried to make up for last week's surrender ceremony billed as an hour long Sunday political show. Oh man, he had Notra Trulock, Department of Energy Deputy Director of Intelligence ( because Elizabeth Moler wouldn't come? See: The Mole Exposed? ( 4-13-99 ) , if you don't know who Moler and Trulock are ) and Representitive Christopher Cox ( R ) of the Cox Report on espionage by the People's Republic of China. Trulock believed the espionage uncovered sometime before September 1995, was " equal to the Rosenbergs ". If you don't know who they were; they were a husband and wife spy team executed for selling us out to the commies forty years ago. Trulock said in September 1995 the Clinton administration was briefed about the problem, in 1996 Sandy Berger was breifed, but " by mid 1997, we were distressed " as " there was a predisposition not to believe the findings ". He continued, " our conclusions have never been challenged ". He said this all came to a head after Clinton appointee Elizabeth Moler denied his request to brief the Congress on the grave nature of the problem. Cox commented that he sent his report to the White House on January 3, 1999 and they have been sitting on it since then because it is bad politically for them, " indeed, this is one of the principle findings ". He went on, " This is part of the denial and deception ". He is obviously very concerned about the way the Clinton White House is covering up the " theft " or " sale " of nuclear secrets to Red China, and he finished with, " When it comes to our national intelligence, a day late and a dollar short, simply doesn't get it ".

As a joke, at least to me, Russert had Robin Cook, British Foreign Secretary, on the telephone to talk about NATO's glorious campaign against the tiny sovereign country of Yugoslavia. Cook buffooned, " The campaign is going well ". He proved his courage when it is another country providing the vast majority of military forces, with a pledge to " intensify the campaign as well ".

In a minor cave-in to political correctness, Russert had a segment on the recent draconian gun laws passed in the Senate and what the chances were of them passing through the House of Representitives with Representitive Bob Barr ( R ) and Senator Charles Schumer ( D ). Amazingly, Schumer didn't drool or get that white saliva build-up in the corners of his mouth, at least not overtly. Barr said the Democrats were " trying to grab headlines ". Barr calmly pointed out that in the Senate passed bill, " there may be a couple of good provisions, but there is nothing in there that will make a difference ( in stopping high school violence ) ". He stated a large part of the real problem, " this administration is not enforcing the laws on the books ". Russert then showed a great chart, not exactly like THE CHART from a month ago, but nonetheless the CHART OF THE DAY. This chart showed the collective prosecutions for gun related crimes on or near school grounds; it indicated only single digit numbers of prosecutions for the last three years going. Schumer reacted to the chart, " It's not an either/or proposition ", referring to the passage of new laws and increased enforcement of the existing ones. He trumpetted, " Stop the kids from getting the guns at the gun shows ". Barr then queried, " Why haven't these laws been enforced all along "? Continuing his rhetorical questioning of the, tail between his legs, Schumer, Barr asked if he would " empower the BATF to go into people's houses to check and see if they are using the locks "? As Schumer didn't get the kind of response he was used to, as in a standing ovation from an audience of mindless DNC hacks, he pleaded, " Liddy Dole and John McCain support these kind of measures ". Great, like we need a democRAT to point out that Elizabeth Dole was only a Republican by marriage and John McCain would sell his soul to the Devil for a crack at the presidency. Schumer curiously said ( I didn't believe it when I heard it ), " I would not be in favor of banning all handguns ". I bet Handgun Control Inc. isn't going to like hearing that, as they have a total ban of all handguns written directly into their charter and contribute to Schumer?

There was a whimpy roundtable discussion, but William Safire did say, of the obvious Democrat cover-up surfacing on the Red Chinese obtaining our military secrets ( you can't really call it espionage, as they may well have bought the rights to it from the DNC ), " They are trying to push this past the ( next ) election ".

*' Tweaking Sam and Cokie ', was Jurgen Chrobog, German ambassador to the United States. Like a good obedient German, he declared that NATO should, " continue the airstrikes and try and find a diplomatic solution ". He repeated several times that there would be " no ground troops in a hostile environment ". Donaldson kept pushing the question of NATO using ground troops, but only got this as an answer, " We are willing to participate in a peace keeping mission by Security Council resolution ". This is ' vvvery innnteresting '( remember Arte Johnson from Laugh-in? ). The " Security Council " is part of the United Nations and not the North Atlantic Treaty Organization!

Clinton puppet, Bill Richardson, Energy Secretary, danced through a minefield of tough questions by changing the subject, giving misleading answers and telling blatant bald faced lies ( being willing and able to lie well in public does seem to be the most important criteria for Clinton appointees? ). On the Christopher Cox Report finally being released this coming week, after a White House stall-job couldn't be kept up any longer, Richardson whimpered, " It is a scary report...information was obtained...we are correcting the problem ". He pleaded to let him " impliment cyber security I have proposed...let me manage the labs ". I guess this is the Richardson version of the Bill Clinton ' I have to get back to work ' baloney. Richardson ignored the obvious and what everyone now knows is the worst violation of national security in the history of the United States with, " the information is not conclusive yet ". He had the audacity to say that " these thefts have not effected China ". Who does he think he is fooling, some nursery school kids? Has the average American television viewer's intelligence level really sunken this low? I couldn't believe when in the next breath he added, " This doesn't mean we are overlooking the damage done ". Huh? That is exactly what the Clinton cronies have done. Richardson continued to lie directly into the television cameras as replied to a question on the sale of American made high performance computers that allow Red China to test nuclear warheads, " Every decision was made in the interest of the United States ". I guess the interest of the United States to Richardson, is lining Clinton's and the DNC's pockets with Chinese campaign contributions ( cash )? When pressed further on the sale of the computers, after he dodged the question he said, still dodging the question, " We are going to work with the Cox Committee ". Yeah sure man, like working with them means lying, stalling until the 2000 elections are over and covering up the treasonous activities of the morally bankrupt Democrat party. George Will wouldn't stop pressing about the sale of the six hundred computers to Red China, but only got, " We believe very strongly that to deal with China, we have to engage them ", out of the lying Richardson. When he realized that his lies were getting unbelievable, he said, " I am creating a Security Czar ". This is their patented answer to everything, more laws or appointees? The last ridiculous lie Richardson told was on what Clinton knew ( was briefed on ) before his famous lie on Red Chinese espionage under his presidency in a televised March 1999 press conference. It has been proven beyond any doubt that there has been espionage under Clinton and Clinton was told about it, but Richardson still had to say, " The President was correct ". Shameful! It is truely a disgrace the way Clinton's appointees have sold out their country, their personal integrity and their morality in homage to their great living God Pharoah Bill Clinton.

They then slid back into a cushy Democrat lovefest about the crooked-lawyer First Lady running for Senator from New York state. Maybe another liar, uh lawyer, is just what they need in ( from ) New York! Representitive Rick Lazio ( R ) said, " She hasn't lived a day in New York out of the Plaza Hotel ", and he pointed out, " She is someone who roots for the Chicago Cubs when they play the New York Mets "!

*'Replacing the damnation ' with phoney surprise, Bob Schieffer had the bellicose beast herself, Madeleine " Albania " Albright, our fearless leader's terrific choice for Secretary of State ( Hate ). She openly declared that United States ground troops would only be used for " entry into a permissive environment ". So the worm begins to turn, and you knew she would. On a ' what if ' question about using ground troops, Albright said, " they are to go in and help with the refugees ". Huh? Isn't this what humanitarian missions are for? She then got defensive and whined about the sucesses of the holy NATO bombing campaign like it was a political campaign, " We have taken out a third of what he ( Milosevic ) needs ". Great, after two months of bombing the Serbian people back to the stone-age and only one third of the Yugoslavian miltary has been damaged or taken out. I guess this goes to show you what happens if you think you can win an illegal undeclared war by bombing the civilian population centers of the target country, like NATO ( or Albright? ) obviously believes it can! She continued to croon like there was an audience of Kosovar Albanian terrorists in front of her, " The President has said all options are on the table, but let me repeat, the air operations are working ". I wonder what her idea of " working " is; killing a genocidal mountain of innocent Yugoslavian women and children? Oh, she started to ruffle her war feathers with, " All Serb forces must come out ", but then withered down to, " well, maybe something symbolic, nothing operational ". Oh my gosh, what a wicked witch this bitter old lady has become. She scolded, " Eighty percent of Serbia is out of electricity and it is going to stay that way ". Well, so much for hospital incubators and heart/lung machines. This pityless Albright beast is a vicious weasel-like poor excuse for a human being. On the Red Chinese espionage, she lied to the camera, with a smirk on her face that she only found out about it this year, saying, " I was not briefed ". This is absolutely unbelievable ( remember, she did lie rather convincingly in front of the rolling cameras for Clinton, about the Monica Lewinsky affair ). She ended with more lies, " Steps were taken, there were no illusions ". Maybe, she meant ' allusions ' or ' ellusions '?

Senate Majority Leader, Trent Lott came on to add some truth, seriousness and objectivity to this charade by the Democrats to cover-up the Clinton administration selling or allowing military secrets to fall into Red Chinese hands. Later, Senators Richard Shelby ( R ) and Robert Torricelli ( D ) would face off on many of the same issues. Lott said, " It is shocking , quite frankly someone dropped the ball, as satellite, radar technology," etc. " went to China ". He continued, " Either they stole it or bought it. Some heads should roll...National Security, Justice Department...someone has to be held accountable ". On Janet Reno's part in the cover-up, he said, " Clearly the Justice Department didn't approve a wire tap when national security was at issue ". This last one is quite sad, as it directly implicates Janet Reno in possibly treasonous activities. Finally, on Kosovo he offered that he was not for any American military ground action, saying, " Fighting their way in there, absolutely not ", and " boo-booes are hurting the image of the military ". On Congress okaying ground troops for the Clinton/Gore War, he said, " they would not approve that ". Lastly he opined, " I am very dubious on the success of the campaign of only bombing ". As they broke away he offered his position on school violence, " Guns are not what's causing this wide societal problem ".

Senators Shelby and Torricelli then faced off on the Red Chinese espionage issue, sort of; as they both were concerned about the problem. Bizarrely, Toricelli was concerned with covering up the problem or switching the blame to Republicans and/or pass Republican administrations, when he loudly mentioned, " Reagan " and " Bush ". Shelby said that " more of the Cox report should be declassified. It would be embarassing probably ". Torricelli swallowed hard and hand to admit it was " the greatest failure of American security in our history ". Hmm, having an attack of the truth, huh? Shelby blasted, " The Justice Department is at risk...it is time for new leadership...the Attorney General should resign and take her leadership with her ". Okay, Torricelli did have to say, " The judgements of the Attorney General are incomprehensible ", but he stopped short of calling for her resignation with, " It is time for Clinton to have a conversion with her...to explain her actions ". What, so they can compare notes on keeping the lies they have been telling us for years, straight? Finally, on whether or not Clinton lied to the people in his March news conference about what he knew and when about the Chinese spying, Shelby offered a soft answer, " He was wrong, if he was not informed, he was ill-served by his advisors ". Ponder this folks, if Bill Clinton knew he sold the Red Chinese those military secrets, then he really wasn't lying at that March news conference when he denied any espionage occured under his administration?

*Wolf Blitzer checked to see what condition his ' edition ' was in. Among others ( like the incredible liar supreme Jamie Shea from NATO claiming they had no invasion force for Kosovo building up? ), he had Senators Bob Smith ( R ) and Tom " Dungheap " Harkin ( D ) on to debate the Balkans to Espionage. Smith opined, " not to send in ground troops... that is a terrible mistake ". Harkin declared Smith was wrong, " I was in the camps in Macedonia...we have to prepare the ground troops ". I guess he refuses to believe that the refugee problem has been created by his fearless draft-dodging leader, after all, there was no refugee problem before the NATO bombing began. " The second amendment is now on the defensive ", Smith responded, to a question about the newest rounds of ridiculous gun laws. Blitzer did have Wayne LaPierre of the NRA on, but not to talk about gun control, but to attempt to slam the NRA for his precious Bill Clinton and other extreme lefties like his boss's wife. LaPierre ignored his illogical outbursts and did point out how " spin has become lies ", and " politicians are assumed to be lying "? He did calmly point out that the much heralded trigger locks would not keep out violent teenagers, but only four, six or eight year olds ( like anyone with a screwdriver or a hammer ). He also mentioned the total lack of prosecutions of juvenile criminals on gun law violations, in the single digit range for the last three years, as a larger factor contributing to the recent high school violence than a lack of gun regulations. I believe you can look straight to the demise of the traditional American family, or in your own mirror, for the real problem!

Amazingly, most of the hosts ( not Blitzer, ofcourse ) and commentators of the Sunday political talk shows seemed to have shed their DNC collars and leashes since last week's White House Obedience Trials. If I hear any more bullshit and/or have to watch any more Columbine High School ceremonies, I am going to puke!
