At the 1992 Democratic Party National Convention, what did Bill Clinton promise to do, in building our country his bridge to the next millenium ( amidst " Don't stop thinking about tomorrow " by Fleetwood Mac, playing in the background )? Okay, it's a long list, right. Shall we shorten the list and say, ' what did he promise and actually make good on '?

*I remember the gay rights activists out there marching for Bill in droves. He promised them legitimization of gays in the military and affirmative action status for the gay life style. Hey man, fifty percent ain't that bad. Well, for them maybe, but not for us. ' Don't ask and don't tell ' took some pressure off gay sailors and soldiers, but their counter parts in the private sector didn't get the special affirmative action rights they were marching for. I wonder if the gays feel betrayed?

*Oh wow, I just remembered the " most ethical administration in history " line. Does this one really need any explaination? I believe it has become the " most corrupt administration in history ". What we know for sure is, it has become the " most investigated administration in history "!

*Bill also made some shallow promises about improving education. Has our education system been saved? His idea for saving education was to federalize ( socialize ) it. National standards for testing and some taxpayer dollars for internet connections and rebuilding structures, was what the schools received. Clinton wants to give them school uniforms ( kinda' reminds you of the Red Chinese school kids all lined up with their Chairman Mao hats and olive green suits ). He doesn't want to give the parents the choice of schools through a voucher system? Oh no, he couldn't do this, as he believes the bureaucrats in Washington know best about how to raise your own children! Sheep just love to be led, huh?

*Clinton also made a big deal about saving Social Security. Later, after a budget surplus was choreographed by the Republican led Congress over the protestations of the campaigner and chief, Clinton embraced this surplus as his own, forgetting the scare tactics he employed about taking food from the mouths of school children, for example. To further complicate the situation, this year he demanded money from the Social Security Trust Fund for Democrat pork projects, after promising not to touch the surplus. Another lie or broken promise exposed!

*The radical feminists were promised new affirmative action legislation. The only thing they got was a continued Presidential veto of " partial birth abortion " legislation. They did get some new Federal guidelines on sexual harassment cases ( the Monica Lewinsky affair proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Clinton is a hypocrit ). Maybe this was enough to satisfy them?

*The President to be, also promised to " fix " the national health care situation. What we almost got was a plan for socialized medicine, employing all the Clinton cronies Hillary could find. Lucky for us, this policy of graft and corruption disguised as a health care plan was seen for what it was ( and the Democrats were voted out of Congress in mass in '94, as a result )!

*Bill Clinton and the DNC were supposed to be the party of the common citizen and the President continued to talk this way. Too bad, they became the party of big business and entertainment industry fat-cats, ignoring the union rank and file in favor of the money from the organized crime influenced leadership. Past AFL-CIO Teamster organizers have plead guilty in schemes to shuttle money back and forth from their coffers to the DNC!

*Who could forget the " era of big government is gone " remarks. Whoa, what a whopper! Every program Bill Clinton has put forth has called for more Washington bureaucracy and the Federalization of crimes already covered by state laws. From spousal abuse to juvenile crime, Washington has attempted to stick it's nose into areas covered by state penal codes!

What didn't Clinton tell us about his plan for the bridge to the next millenium?

*He didn't tell us he would attempt to grab as much power for the Executive Branch as possible, through Executive Orders and his appointed cabinet and agency cronies. Until the 1994 election cycle, he had a Democrat majority in both the House of Representitives and the Senate to rubber stamp all his pet projects. After this Democrat debacle, he had to grab as much power as possible for his precious Whitehouse dictatorship! Examples of this would be turning the Department of Transportation into a cash cow for the DNC and a controller of what US companies got which contracts in foreign trade through payments for seats on trade mission aircraft. And turning the Environmental Protection Agency into a police-like body with the power to indict land owners, using twisted Executive Orders declaring new endangered species and definitions of wet lands. Is that your kid getting drug away into the woods by a protected species of wolf? Better not shoot the predator, as you will be arrested! You better not buy any damp farmland, as it will soon be crawling with poltical appointees looking for microscopic insects, so they can declare it a protected area and drive you to bankruptcy. Who could predict the Whitehouse would become a clearinghouse for digging up and disseminating dirt on Clinton's enemies, like some petty dictatorship!

*He didn't tell us that he would orchestrate the largest tax increase in the history of the United States. Remember, this is the one Al Gore cast the tie breaking vote on, in the Senate! Luckily for us, the Republican majority that took over in '94 passed some modest tax cuts and relief for families with children.

*Also, he didn't tell us that he would turn the State Department into an extension of the DNC, through foreign campaign contributions and a phoney choreographed ' wag the dog ' foreign policy strategy designed to improve his image above real world peace concerns!

*Finally, he didn't tell us that he would try to force feed the nation an unhealthy dose of moral and ethical relativism. Through his quite apparent lies and the rationalization of them by stretching the truth to the breaking point, he has attempted to create a society where only the lawyers know what the truth is. This is a boon for the lawyers, but a disaster for the common folk with an absolute ethical system of morality. With the drop of his pants, he flushed hundreds of years of family values down the Whitehouse toilet!

In summation, the crowd following Bill across the drawbridge includes these special interest groups: gays, environmentalists, socialists, union leadership not incarcerated, trial lawyers and the mega rich Hollywood elite. Those who got caught at the edge watching the bridge go up included: non-child bearing families or families with grown up offspring, farmers trying to feed the nation, individualists ( as opposed to socialist sheep ), union members who saw through Clinton's fakery, the moral majority ( minority? ) and those who believe in state's rights!
