Short term memory loss?

Are they broken promises, lies, or memory lapses?

Bill Clinton and the majority of Congressional Democrats made a big deal about using the Federal budget surplus to fix the Social Security system. They said that absolutely no money would be spent from this surplus, until Social Security was made solvent ( instead of robbing from it, as in the past ). Well, this promise was broken, in the latest budget agreement announcement. Clinton just had to have more money for his pet entitlements. The Department of Eduction ( get rid of it ), the IMF ( get rid of it ), and an emergency fund ( who decides, which event deserves the bucks? ); all got money from the surplus. Is this just a new and interesting way to fix SS, by using the surplus for something else? Or, has Clinton lied again? Okay, so it may just be a broken " campaign promise " ( not like lying before a Grand Jury ). I bet many senior citizens took notice of this one!

The Republicans said that there was enough money left in the surplus to both save Social Security and give the people a tax cut. Hey man, where's my tax cut? How could these guys let the Democrats scare them into abandoning this " promise "? This one was definately a casualty of budget negotiations, though I still belive that the Republicans gave in too easy!

Some Republicans said that they would not further fund the IMF. Well, they did fund it. Dick Armey did say that " they ( the IMF ) would not be working in secret any more ". I hope they truely got something in return, for what I consider a major cave in by Republicans. Without knowing all the little details, it looks like a broken promise, and not a casuality of budget talks compromise!

Democrats, and possibly Janet Reno herself, say that Ken Starr hid the fact that he had some minor contact with the Paula Jones lawyers, concerning the immunity of a sitting President to civil actions, before he was appointed as Independant Counsel, in the Monica Lewinsky investigation. This one is an out and out lie, as the contacts were public common knowledge way before the recent accusations ( last January, or possibly months before ). For the Whitehouse, DOJ, or Democratically sponsored media talking heads to continue this bold faced lie, has got to be criminal in some form or another! Okay, so maybe Reno's debilitated physical condition gives her an excuse, but this would also indicate that she is unfit to be our Attorney General ( though there may be a list of other reasons, that she is unfit for her Clinton appointed office ).

Bill Clinton didn't have a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky. This was(is) a lie, though some folks repeating it were duped by the President ( I bet a bunch of them actually knew the truth, and were lying for Clinton knowingly ). I got it, Bill forgot that he was under oath ( twice )!

Al Gore didn't know the Buddist Temple affair was a fund raiser, and the calls he made from the Whitehouse were for hard money. Hey man, I wasn't born yesterday!

Hillary Clinton says that there is a vast right-wing conspiracy, that has been out to get her husband ever since he took office. Not a broken promise or lie, really. It's more like a delusional statement!

Hillary Clinton said she didn't know where her Rose law firm Madison ( Whitewater ) file was. It was found in the living quarters portion of the Whitehouse. Is this a lie, or a convenient short term memory loss? You be the judge, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist, to figure this one out!

Maxine Waters and the Congressional Black Caucus, said they were going to be the " fairness cops ", in the inquiry regarding the Clinton impeachment proceedings. What a whopper!

The Whitehouse spinmeisters and Democrat minority counsels from various Congressional committees, are truely Pinnochio clones, and their lies are too numerous to list. I just find it way too hard to believe, that they didn't know about DNC fund raising abuses and the Whitehouse use of FBI files, before hand.
