While turning Slobodan Milosevic into a pathetic personification of Mister Bill, the Sunday edition of the White House talking points fax memo still had enough room in it to urge the Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse spinmeisters ( liars ) appearing on television political talkshows today to make sure they associate, " Milosevic " with " crimes against humanity " and " genocide "; the Serbian military with " ethnic cleansing " and " human shields "; and the Republican party with " NRA gun lobby " and " Tec 9 machine pistol ". No matter the truth or validity of any of these associations, as they are only looking for temporary emotional responses.
*On ' Beat the Guest ', Tim Russert tried to get some straight answers out of the Chinese ambassador to the United States, Li Zhaoxing. Li called the American bombing of Yugoslavia " egregious atrocities " and that the attack on it's embassy in Belgrade " violated China's national security ". Li declared, " The people of China are indignant; this is rational and legitimate ". He continued on about Yugoslavia, " Too many people have been killed; what are they ( NATO ) doing there? " On General Ji and Johnny Chung, Li said, " He liked your president "; and on espionage, " this is a deliberate fabrication; we have no policy to steal United States high tech ". Oh man, Russert really let this lousy commie punk vomit all over him. He let him repeat the embassy crap over and over again, along with, " we have never stolen..." and " The American-led NATO is violating the UN charter ".
After a lying Chinese diplomat, he had a lying American diplomat, Thomas Pickering, Undersecretary of State ( I guess the number one characteristic for diplomat these days, is the ability to lie well in public ). On a direct question about Red Chinese espionage, Pickering trivialized the Chinese situation with, " Many countries would like to take U.S. secrets and we must guard against that ". On a final Kosovo situation solution ( sheesh, even I can't seem to call it a war ), he could only gurgle, " acceptance of the five NATO principles ". He was disgustingly Clinton/DNC/NATO-robotic with a blatantly false accusation that the Serbs killed the civilians at Korisa last week, weaseling, " They were shot at after the bombing was over ". Pickering is completely devoid of integrity ( lack of integrity is the number two quality for diplomat in the Clinton administration ), as he continued to whimper, " The man has to stand for what he has done ". I was disgusted by this disgraceful comment, when I thought he was refering to Milosevic, but he really must have been talking about Bill Clinton? In a lucent moment, he ended the interview with, " Russia has a tremendously important role to play ". You know, Clinton could have drafted his diplomatic corps(e) at the monkey cage of the local zoo!
House Majority Whip, Representitive Tom DeLay ( R ) was asked about Red Chinese espionage and he answered, " They have and everybody knows that ". He rhetorically declared, " I don't know what to do now, it has become such a mess ". On the question of should we be in Kosovo he opined, " Not in my opinion, there is no strategic interest, no national security interest in Kosovo ". He reminded us that " twenty-six Democrats voted against the war in Kosovo ". On the failed vote to support the Clinton/Gore War in Congress, DeLay pronounced, " The Democrats committed a blunder and they are trying to blame us for it ". He further reminded, " They ( the White House ) said two days of bombing ". He made a point to emphasize, " I don't respect the President...his foreign policy is a disaster and not just Kosovo either... this is a horrible situation ". Russert tried to rope him into falling back on the Democrat inspired gun control issue, but DeLay replied strongly, " I don't want to discuss that. I don't want to discuss movies and video games. It is not the inanimate object ".
Finally, General Colin Powell, retired, on Kosovo opined, " I can't account for what strategy they are using...the political rhetoric does not match the political objectives ". He declared, " It is up to Milosevic when he has had enough ". Lastly he said, " In due course, ground troops are going in ". Wow, someone who can tell the truth; I guess this is why he declared he would not be running for elected office.
*Cokie Roberts was off not being ' These Geeks ' and Sam Donaldson didn't push much that wasn't on the White House's agenda anyhow. He started with a thorn in the Presidents paw(n), the Christopher Cox Report, with who else, Representitive Christopher Cox. I guess this was a natural because of all the White House leaks in the press lately; yeah Cox answered the question that would go with that, " The leaks are coming, very obviously, from the administration ". On why his committee's report is still sitting unreleased in the White House, he replied, " After two months we have gotten nowhere ". He offered some form of rationalization as reasons for the delay, " Careful identification of what things must remain secret ", " we are close ", and " we will have it out very soon ". On Loral and Hughes transfering sensitive information to the People's Republic of China, " it was neither legal, nor above aboard...our laws do not permit this ". His comment on the soft penalty for espionage concerning our radar dealt lasy year, he said, " What Peter Lee was prosecuted for, was more important that what they thought at the time ". On the emotional nature and seriousness of the Clinton adminstration's part, he said, " Facts are facts, they are not inflamatory...It's like Alcoholics Anonymus, the first thing you have to do is recognize you have a problem ". This guy is a realist. He ended with a question on what Bill Clinton really knew when he lied in a news conference about Red Chinese espionage during his own presidency, " he ( Clinton ) was briefed before he made that news conference statement ". There can be no doubt now, that Clinton was once again being his old serial liar self!
They then went to the Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse ordered talking points question of gun control. They had two Senators at the opposite ends of the truth, as well as the opposing ends of the political spectrum, Dianne Feinstein ( D ) and Orrin Hatch ( R ). Hatch said, " We are violently opposed to the Lautenberg Amendment ( to have no more gun shows ). Feinstein didn't lie but pointed out a loophole that you could " reclaim a gun from a pawnshop with no background check ". Hatch countered with a comment about how the Democrats only want to create an issue and not pass legislation with, " We ( Republicans ) have narrowed our amendments down to about seven, the Democrats are in the forties. They want to bring it down to a gun debate tahat lasts so long we won't have time to pass it ". Feinstein declared, " If I could write the law, I would require universal registration of all guns, all people who own guns ". Whoa, Big Brother is watching her ( us )? Hatch ended by observing that " there were twenty-two gun laws broken in Littleton ".
They had out going Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, who said, " The most likely scenario seems to be one of high growth and low inflation ".
*Bob Schieffer once again ' Disgraced the Nation ' with his blind obedience to the White House, in questioning their hacks. He had William Cohen, Secretary of Defense ( Evil ) and the Shelton GI Joe Doll. This show and these lackies were pure White House propaganda, plain and simple. If Schieffer continues this choreographed Clinton/DNC/NATO/Whitehouse spin instead of asking serious questions, I will stop mentioning it. Sniffer ( notice his intials are BS? ) couldn't get the smell of Clinton off his breathe, as he continued the lie ( and current White House talking points memo fax subject ) about the Serbian military using Albanians " as human shields ". Cohen was his corpse-like self, sans sardonic smile, in trivializing NATO " accidentally " bombing civilians in Korisa. He said, " The Serbs crying about this, is like Adolf Eichmann complaining about the Allies bombing the crematoriums ". This is truely a disgrace, but Cohen has turned into a disgraceful ' Clinton uber alles ' robot, with no integrity or soul left to be found. These Clinton ordered butchers keep defending their own war crimes by invoking the image of Nazi Germany in World War II; we all must continue to remember that it is they ( Clinton and NATO ) who have chosen to side with the Albanians, who sided with Hitler's SS along with the Muslims to butcher over one million Serbs, Jews and gypsies during World War II. Cohen ended with arrogance, " The bombing is going to continue ". I could no longer concentrate on his horrible lies and inuendo.
Schieffer made sure to give Clinton the full Lewinsky, and had a spirited, yet boring and redundant, debate on you got it, gun control. His vast left-wing conspiracy leanings were in full bloom as he offered up softballs to Senators Charles Schumer ( D ) and Wayne Allard ( R ). Schumer never got worked up enough to get a good load of that white stuff in the corners of his mouth going. They were talking about the faux debate in the Senate about passing a meaningless gun control bill, as the Columbine massacre kids were guilty of dozens of violations. Anyhow, for the sake of taking up some space, Allard said the bill would " require everyone who goes to a gunshow, to have a background check ". I assume he meant anyone buying a gun? Schumer then whined, " the bill opens more loopholes than it closed ". He then blatantly lied on national television that the bill " allows pawn shops to sell guns to criminals no questions asked ". Only a Democrat can lie this directly into the faces of the American people! The bill requires a pawned firearm to be background checked at the time it is pawned, and not when it is picked up; and all gun sales require the Federal paperwork. Schumer is a provably balded faced liar and Allard only said, " Senator Schumer has tried to politicize this issue ". Schieffer never batted an eye, he has truely given in to the dark side.
Sheesh, when the likes of Tim Russert and Sam Donaldson become the people's only source for their political food for thought; that is when famine begins!
