It was terrible to watch that little white car getting pelted with stones by Palestinian terrorist dogs. The mob-like crowd of followers of Yassir Arafat's Fatah faction, went to the outskirts of Ramallah, and began stoning Israeli cars at a traffic circle near the Jewish settlement of Beit El. The Israeli civilian was innocently driving his car, with a soldier as a body guard, when the arabs attacked without provocation. The civilian driver ran from the scene bleeding from the head, while rocks were still being thrown at him. Wasn't Arafat supposed to crack down on these Palestinian ruffians?
Though I didn't see this part on the tape, it is being reported that the Israeli soldier was hit repeatedly and dropped his M-16 machinegun, to be picked up by some possible future Hamas or Islamic Jihad killer. The soldier and civilian, though not killed, sustained bleeding head and body wounds. I wonder how many of the recently released prisoners were in that mob?
This is my question. Why didn't the Israeli soldier body guard shoot these vicious attackers? Also, why did the soldier let the mob take his weapon from him? The mob could easily have inflected a mortal wound on either the driver or the soldier!
Reportedly, Israeli police fired pistols and Israeli soldiers shot rubber-coated bullets and tear gas into the crowd. Supposedly, eleven Palestinians were injured by the rubber bullets. I have no sympathy for these terrorist attackers!
President Bill Clinton's trip to Israel is slated to begin Dec. 12. Will escalated violence force this trip to be delayed or cancelled? How much more of this can the Israelis endure, before taking some form of retaliation? It is becoming quite obvious, at least to me, that the more you give these Palestinian mad dogs, the more violence they perpetrate upon the innocent Israelis that happen to live near them.
If I was Netanyahu, I would order the Israeli military and police to start shooting ' real ' bullets!
