Wednesday, August 16, 2000 the Democrat National Convention was undecided on how to play it on CANDIDATE FOR VPOTUS DAY. Some tried to soft sell, though it was like getting beaten to death with wet noodles, and others just attacked the GOP and attacked some more, all the while trying to put up a cutesy facade. On thing is for sure, the word FIGHT was mentioned more today at the Staples Center than at a heavy weight title bout!
PRE-GAME INTERVIEWS AND COVERAGE INCLUDED:
Nixon hater and Clinton defender, Carl Bernstein could not stay away from the media interview machine to get a free plug for his left wing website voter.scum. He defends every Democrat and liberal, but openly attacks anything conservative or GOP related.
Joe Piscopo, DNC uber alles activist who has never met a socialist entitlement or program he didn't like, and a Republican he didn't attack, tried to address the sex and violence in the entertainment industry, as the lefties are not sure what Lieberman will say tonight ( or, They just are not sure how much Joe is willing to sell out for his Democrat masters? ). Instead of addressing the problem, he managed to stumble directly into illustrating that people like him are the problem, while attempting the pass the buck and deflect the blame. He said, " We have to be more responsible, but the news media must be also ". Huh? News should just be reporting reality and what he does is a concocted imaginary fictious reality, called drama or humor. I think has shown just how much these hedonistic Hollywood fatcats believe their own left wing propaganda.
Shepard Smith ( of FOX ), how obvious does his left wing media bias have to be ( or how loud the laughter in the studio is when Smith says, " fair and balanced " ) before FNC's pseudo objectivity is uncovered for the sham it really is? Smith said during a rather touchie feelie liberal back patting session, " How could someone follow Jesse Jackson, who was on fire yesterday ". So much for " fair and balanced ", as the liberal Smith pays lip service to hid obviously beloved Democrat party!
NBC, both broadcast and cable, showed it's strong ties to the DNC by covering Gore's arrival in Burbank live, actually showing the jet from miles away as it approached. They didn't cover Bush or the GOP like this. A local staion, KCAL 9 began to show it's liberal Democrat ties as well by covering the same arrival and mugging phoney comedy speech routine featuring Tipper Gore and Joe Lieberman. After a short hack and gag-fest, Lieberman joked, " Will you help me win this one for the Tipper "? Oh please. How many times has he used that one already?
Ofcourse, the liberal news media loves to trot out Ron Reagan, son of Ronald Reagan, who somehow has turned out to be a liberal. He is always good for a small amount of giggles for the DNC uber alles types!
AT THE CONVENTION HALL:
Representitive Joseph Hoeffel said, " We must choose to pay down the national debt ". Almost a breath of fresh air before the cat dragged in Representitive Zoe Lofgren, who wanted everyone to know, " She was proud Al Gore stood up to the gun lobby ". These anti-gun and second amendment clowns refuse to look back to see how much damage their liberal programs have done to the moral fabric of our society, as the gun violence in our citys and schools has only become the widespread problem it is, since they started passing these ludicrous laws criminalizing law abiding gun owners. She was so arrogantly sure that she was not part of the problem, though she demonstrably is, she attacked the only organization which stands up for our Constitutionally guaranteed rights, saying, " I am not afraid of the NRA ( National Rifle Association ) ". She spewed some of the most vile anti-second amendment bile you could possibly imagine! What a piece of work!!!
To counter George Bush's connection with the Hispanic vote, Doctor Cynthia Tellis, UCLA ( University of California at Los Angeles ) School of Medicine, had to get up there and do the old espanol thing ( give a speech in Spanish ). She had to do this, as next to Bush, Gore can barely order at a Tiajuana Taco Bell!
United States Senator Chuck ( Charles when he is in the Senate chamber ) Robb began a short forgettable march of Senators which led to Stevie Wonder doing the Star Spangled Banner. Wonder felt the need to pontificate before singing that we should be " reaching for a higher note ", and " dream the dream of Kings ". Everybody always gets into Stevie Wonder, even he made the National Anthem a gospell tune?
There was a Vietnam tribute, featuring veteran Senators; but it couldn't counteract the extreme left wing socialist Representitive Rosa DeLauro who followed it. BAD TIMING OR SCRIPTING GUYS.
SPEAKING OF LEFT AND LEFTER.
Representitive Richard Gephardt, House Minority Leader, sang for his supper, " Replace my way or the highway, with our way together ". He lied that the Democrats would be fair as majority leaders. Yeah, right. I remember back when the Democrats were in the majority, like for the last forty years; it wasn't pretty ( I have this image of Henry Gonzalez gavelling down any Republican asking important questions in the House Whitewater hearings )!
Robert Rubin, former Secretary of the Treasury, he got dozens of millions of dollars in cash from Goldman and Sachs as he left for Washington D.C., I believe, talked about; well, you know what he talked ( mislead? ) about. While Senator Charles Schumer called Gore a " principaled fighter ". The signs everywhere have FIGHTING written on them. Are the Democrats really this vicious and cruel?
I thought it was Martina Navratalova, but it turned out to be Hadassah Lieberman. In introducing her huband, she claimed that, " values are his heart a soul ". You know, I wouldn't doubt this in the least. It is just what ' values ' are we talking about, ' DNC uber alles '?
Senator Joseph Lieberman, Democrat party candidate for the office of vice president, began, " I am humbled that Al Gore chose me to be his running mate ". I almost wanted to vomit when he said, " Presidents from Lincoln to Roosevelt to Clinton ". Oh man, how embarassing to mention HIM with those two past presidents. How dare he, who was so critical of Bill Clinton's disgusting actions in the Oval Office but after all the condemnation only voted to keep him around, now compare him with widely accepted greats? Lieberman just perfectly illustrated why he cannot be trusted, no matter how many cutesy little jokes he tells ( THE JOKE IS ON HIM - OR IS HIM ). He invoked the Jewish history of bias and tooted his own, flip-flop on affirmative action, civil rights horn, with, " I walked with Martin Luther King ". One good thing is that atleast he doesn't just shout in a monotone. Oh man, he coughed up the radical homosexual lobby's, sexual orientation as a characteristic for determining affirmative action forced quotas for programs like it was your gender or race. That one is really sick!
Today the economy was better again, instead of broken. Lieberman just cracks himself up, now doesn't he? He then suck to the level of the gutter, attacking George W. Bush with misleading statements distorting the record in Texas. This was so bad that even the Democrats from Texas were looking annoyed! To be all things to everyone, he put on the knee pads for the teachers union. He talked about, " America's hard earned surplus ". When are these clowns going to admit there is no surplus, only a projection of one if you ignore the national debt. He tried to do the, " Progress not partisanship ", chant/mantra thing but it just didn't work out. He then ignored the Albanian contribution to the World War II Holocaust against Jews, Gypsies and Serbs and portrayed the victimized Serbs as the bad guys, saying, " I was there and heard him argue that our vital interests were at stake in Bosnia and Kosovo ". This is beyond belief, here is the truth: Croatian Muslim Nazi Sympathizers ( 4-2-99 ) . He finished by repeating, " Only in America " ( How many times? ) and, " God bless America ".
Tommy Lee Jones, Al Gore's college room mate at Harvard got to nominate Gore for president. He was a good friend and actor last night, saying, " He is a good, caring, loving man ". I believe Jones does love Al. He loved Al Gore enough not to mention that they were room mates at an expensive and exclusive Ivy League University; never saying HARVARD, not even once!
Lois DeBerry, Tennessee ( ofcourse ) General Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore, seconded Gore's nomination. They always scream. Why do the Democrats feel the need to yell so much? I think the airborn saliva content is much higher at the DNC convention than at the GOP.
Karenna Gore Schiff, Al Gore's daughter, was the last and the keynote ( keynote? ) speaker. Where is the hook? Did they spike the punch in the green room? The only thing she could muster was, " Win the fight ". How many times could she say " fight "? Gore made a surprise visit, to the roar of the crowd, but it couldn't save this amateurish performance!
We shall see what Al Gore does tomorrow.
