Serbs Send Spam Bombs?

It is not safe to check your email at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Oh man, I receive my share of SPAM, but to use it as a weapon, now that's quite ridiculous. I guess the Serbs will use whatever means they have at their disposal to strike back at NATO, and especially the United States of America. Watch out, here comes the Yugoslavian Serb SPAM from hell!

Supposedly, last month a NATO website in Brussels was hacked into and disrupted by suspected Serbian computer hackers and the Navy's Medical Information Management Center in Bethesda was hacked into by Russian supporters of Serbia.

Today, in a report not credited to a particular writer, the Associated Press is reporting that two hundred e-mails traced to a Belgrade address flooded the Patuxent River NAS in Maryland. Thankfully the message was short and sweet, " Serbia is here ".

AP reported that " The messages did not breach security or disrupt base computers, spokeswoman Karen Redditt said ". AP continued their report with , " There have been scattered incidents of similar attacks, but nothing widespread, Pentagon spokeswoman Susan Hanson said Tuesday ".

This report should indicate just how small our world is getting with the advent of the World Wide Web. If this is any portent of things to come, a trail run so to speak, United States concerns may be in for a ration of this kind of crap, until the folks in Washington D.C. wise up and quit attacking the sovereign state of Yugoslavia with iron bombs.

I guess, if you can't bomb them for real, you can send virtual letter bombs via Internet e-mail?
