A Ray Late, And A Collar Short.

Janet Reno waits too long to reopen the Reverend Martin Luther King murder case.

It was announced this week, that the Department of Justice was reopening the three decade old murder case, of Martin Luther King. DOJ will not be looking to exonerate the convicted killer, James Earl Ray, but into the possibility that there were additional people involved. Why has it taken so long for the investigation to be reopened? Better yet, why is the case being reopened at this particular time?

Clinton bashers may see this as some type of conspiracy in itself. We have seen, " wag the dog" and " wag the polls "; here comes " wag the court "? Clinton makes a condescending speech, during the " Martin Luther King ' I have a dream ' speech " lovefest in Mushachusetts, while the Department of Justice announces, it is looking into charges made by the King family that there was a conspiracy surrounding the murder. This just sounds like a coincedence, to me; yeah, right.

I assume that most everyone is familiar with the details in the contention that Ray didn't act alone; I am not going to discuss them. If you didn't see the 60 Minutes segment ( like they are trustworthy, anyhow ), you could check a variety of publications and/or websites to find out the details.

My contention is that the timing of this reopening, is quite suspect!

I believe that Attorney General Janet Reno is no stranger to cover-up. I rely on heresay that she dragged her feet in prosecuting politicians in Florida, but I believe it should be obvious to all that she is dragging her feet ( possibly covering up and stonewalling ), in appointing an independant counsel regarding the investigation into DNC campaign finance abuses the lead to the Whitehouse. Keeping this in mind, is it such a stretch that she waited until James Earl Ray was dead, before opening up an investigation to see if he acted alone?

What sense does it make to open it up now? The main player in the possible conspiracy, is now unavailable to be further interviewed ( or cross-examined in a legal case ). If my memory servers me correctly, Ray said he wasn't even the shooter; I don't know if I believe that or not.

Martin Luther King's family has been calling for a new investigation for a couple of years, now. They have even gone as far to say that they believe part of what Ray had to say. Why did Janet Reno wait until Ray is dead?

I smell something fishy.

Could it be that there actually was a conspiracy? Was Ray only a patsy and not the real shooter, ala' " Paralax View " ( a great old Warren Beatty movie, watch it to see how conspiracies really work )? Did Ray shoot, but not deliver the mortal bullet to its target? Somehow, I doubt that we will ever know for sure, now that James Earl Ray has passed away!

Now here is the dark secret food for thought...

Is it possible that Democrats, who may still be alive, were involved with Martin Luther King's killing? Is Janet Reno being a good loyal, though possibly misguided, Democrat; and covering up that fact? Remember, in the 1960s, many Democrats were against expanding civil rights for negroes ( George Wallace, et al. ). Don't get me wrong, I am not accusing anyone of being racsist; though anyone else, who may have been involved with the King killing, probably did so because of racism.

Any " new " information, that may come out, must be scrutinized under the most powerful of microscopes, to make sure that we are not being duped into believing some fantastic fiction!
