Kofi Shop?

Kofi meets Gadhafi?

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan continued the war on terrorism today, as he stopped in to see old Mohammar Gadhafi in Libya concerning the extradition of Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi and Lamen Khalifa Fhimah. These are the two accused terrorists that are believed to have plotted the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988. 259 people aboard the 747 Jumbo jet plane ( 189 Americans ) were killed, so the United States has a vested interest. Remember the attacks mounted on Libya by Ronald Reagan? Well, in the current administration's view, the negotiations are best left to the United Nations Kofi Annan and not the United States, itself. Sadly, Kofi Annan didn't accomplish anything concrete. To hard for Clinton to score any media points with this one?

Meanwhile, the United States says, North Korea's refusal to allow outside inspectors to view a suspected nuclear site, without paying a charge ( bribe ), violates the framework of the 1994 agreement to stop it's nuclear program. Washington sent two modern nuclear reactors and other benefits as an incentive ( bribe ) as part of that prior agreement. This one is all of Clinton's own making. He should have realized, you can't bribe a Communist dictatorship only once? Notice, the North Korea war of words has escalated with students supposedly chanting about, " all-out '' war against the United States. They see Clinton as a man of only words and money, but with no integrity or the guts to back up threats with military action.

The situation in the Middle East continues to sour the, much heralded by Democrats before the November election, Wye interim peace accords. Hey, maybe they really were ' interim ' accords? After all, they lasted until just after the election was over. Curiously, a week before President Clinton was to possibly land Airforce One at ' Terrorist International Airport ' in Gaza, to help legitamize the planned terrorist state of Palestine; a radical Palestinian faction burned U.S. and Israeli flags in Hebron. Didn't these arabs hear the pro-Palestinian stance that the State Department took yesterday? There were three seperate incidents of further violence in the West Bank area, started by radical Palestinians. Clinton is really in the ozone, if he continues to back these mad dogs! Seduced by the dark side?

Another embarassing day to the United States world image.
