There is some talk in the air about a settlement between Paula Jones and Bill Clinton. Funny, I thought that the Jones lawsuit had been thrown out? I guess the Whitehouse is getting antsy about her appeal going through, and opening back up, that can of worms.

Is the Whitehouse fearful of more incidents of abuse of power to get sexual favors, being revealed? So they pay off Paula Jones to keep additional information from the public, of a history of sexual perversion and using his offices to supply a steady stream of new target females.

Maybe it's not so simple. Think about this one...

Could it cancel out any perjury charge, by dismissing materiality, if the President settles? Maybe even cancel out the witness tampering, only leaving the abuse of power concerns that have little criminality?

I am starting to smell a big fat commie rat.
