*' Bleating Egress ', Tim Russert has finally been reined in by the Clinton administration. This was proven by the opening minutes of his program perfectly illustrating his obviously recent obedience training in what questions to ask and his joining in the misleading campaign of Pentagon and White House propaganda lies. This is in direct contrast to his tough interviews about Red Chinese espionage of the last two weeks. Well, someone has finally silenced him and attached the choke chain and leash. Today's program was fine example of Goebbelsesque media manipulation.
His opening statement and first question to the Yugoslavian Foreign Minister, Zivadin Jovanovic, was a real surrender to the Whitehouse talking points fax memo, " When will you stop killing and raping the people of Kosovo "? Sheesh man, this was his own variation on the old ' when are you going to stop beating your wife '. Jovanovic replied to this rude attacking question coolly and calmly, " These are mere NATO propaganda...they are staying with their bloody campaign against Yugoslavia ". Russert then clarified his robotic Whitehouse training by showing the familiar contrived satellite photos of suspected mass graves and declared they were proof positive of Serb atrocities. Sorry Tim, you have a reached a new low. Jovanovic spoke the absolute truth when he answered Russert's inuendo with, " They are in difficulty in trying to justify their acts ". Russert attacked him some more, but only got defiance in return, " We are prepared to defend our country ".
Russert did a half-hearted attempt at an interview of Strobe Talbott, Deputy Secretary of State, but didn't manage to ask any tough questions, only changing his voice to a serious tone and not the softball content. Talbott described Yugoslavia as " a dictatorship that operates by the big lie ". I thought he was describing the Clinton administration? He declared, " We are going to win this war ". Funny, did the United States declare war on anyone? He crooned, " Those refugees are going back to their jobs and normal lives ". Now wait just a dog-gone minute here, I have seen the photos of what the NATO bombing has done to Kosovo, and Pristina in particular, and nobody is going back to normalcy. He finished with the Clinton view of a future NATO with, " we are building something quite new here ".
Three Senators finished out the only interesting debate, Judd Gregg ( R ), John Kerrey ( D ) and Richard Lugar ( R ). Gregg said, " I don't believe we have an interest there; our interets there are very limited ". Gregg further opined that we should " try to work with those folks who still have an ability to negotiate, Russia ". Kerrey said, " I am very comfortable with that notion...to continue the air war ". He surprised me with, " the moment will come when it may be right for a diplomatic settlement ". Amazingly, he didn't want to give weapons to the terrorist Muslims ( only a thousand aircraft air support operation ) as he said, " We are not prepared to arm the KLA ". Lugar seemed to question the question with, " Clearly there has to be planning. I hope there is a lot of it going on somewhere? " He opined that " this could be the funeral for NATO ", but seemed to change his mind mid-sentence with, " we are going to win...we are on the right side of history ".
To add insult to his own self inflicted injury, Russert had James Carville and Mary Matalin on the do their phoney political stageplay from hell. This was a truely pityful example of what had previously been the only Sunday show still willing to ask the important questions. It is a sad day in American, when the likes of Tim Russert begin to show the tell-tale examples of Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse censorship. Russert was a disgrace the way he served up softballs to Carville, who called the Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, " a lying little whimp ". With his obvious complicity in the conspiracy to save the reputation of their great living God Pharoah Bill Clinton, Russert has finally proven beyond any doubt that he has given in to the dark side of the DNC control voice.
*' The Weak Geeks ' may have been stronger with the return of Sam Donaldson...not. They seemed to be suffering from the same governmental control disease that Russert was inflicted with. I guess the forceful way Clinton has shown his total dictatorial control over the government, has finally reached to our liberal news ( propaganda ) media. They first served up some softballs for Madeleine Albright, our lovely Secretary of State. She had such wonderful words of wisdom for us as, " We know very well the chaos of the last decade has been caused by Milosevic ". Is she trying to say that NATO's actions are really a punishment for Slobodan Milosevic? Like the bombing is a punitive sentence? Well she was allowed to spew her propaganda bile forth, including such hot words or phrases, " burning of houses "..." execution "... " rape "...and " he ( Milosevic ) is responsible ". He loudly declared, " His military in general is weakening, while our air campaign is strengthening ". In response to the question of how do you negotiate with Milosevic, she replied, " There is no need to ". Well, that just about describes it perfectly, she has had her own agenda of never negotiating from the very beginning. Albright continued her campaign of media appearence lies with a statement that we have " no intention for ground forces ", but in that same sentence she continued, " in the fall we have a plan "? This kind doublespeak only works on kindergarten children ( and even then not always ). They had a couple of Senators on there, one dove and one hawk, who have found love. John McCain ( R ) said that " it is obvious Milosevic is reaching his objective ". Robert Torricelli ( D ) did express some misgivings within his blindly obedient DNC training. He said, " I don't know of a single incidence where an air war acheived an objective by itself ". He sought to deflect the blame for our quickly failing foreign policy with a suggestion for Clinton to " go back and look at the strength of some of his advice ". The rest of the show was worthless, though here are two impressions of the last couple of guests. Elizabeth Dole's Red Cross armband cross may be getting a little bit lazy. Kenneth Starr is an honest man.
*' Facing Damnation ', Bob Schieffer knuckled under with the rest of them. First up was Tony Blair, Prime Minister of Great Britain and a product of the New World Order's extreme left wing liberalism and James Carville. Softball after softball was thrown to him for deliverance to the bleachers. Blair said, " There is no doubt at all we have to accelerate this campaign and carry through...the cause we are fighting for is a just cause ". He continued to vomitt the bile of the one world goverment crowd who wants to put us all in their form of chains with buzz words/phrases like, " carry on "... " intensify "..."complete determination "..." objectives secured in full "..." patience " and " resolve ". Then came the dueling Senators routine with Kay Bailey Hutchison ( R ) and Christopher Dodd ( D ). Hutchinson remarkably said that we should " push the diplomacy side while we are doing the bombing and not talk so much about ground troops ". She firmly said she would not vote for United States ground forces being introduced into the campaign. Dodd was the good little DNC lapdog he is in saying we should " destroy the military capability of Milosevic; we are doing it ". Huh? He added, " It is working very well ". Wow, what BDAs ( bomb damage assessment ) is this guy seeing that the general public isn't privy to?
The only thing that saved the show and set it apart from the other Sunday dog and pony puddles, was the appearence of Pat Buchanan to lend a little sanity and objectivity to the discussion. Buchanan said he would " get American troops out of there ". His fix was to " accept a partition of Kosovo giving the Serbs their religious sites " and a security force with no NATO representation. He is it odds with " the people who launched this war where there is no vital interest " and said " they did not think it through ". He correctly pointed out, " All of our objectives are further away ". He stood up for all decent Americans and was willing to tell it like it is, with a realistic explanation of the Clinton administrations actual objective in this illegal war as to " save the reputations and careers of those who launched this war ". He ended with the words of wisdom of the day, " WE ARE THROWING AWAY THE FRUITS OF OUR COLD WAR VICTORY ". This is so true, and the most sad thing about the way the Clinton administration has been allowed to ruin America and it's future!
*Wolf Blitzer once again had a ' Second Rate Edition '. He did have Senator James Inhofe ( R ), who believes our military has been put in a bad position everywhere else around the world by our directionless campaign in Yugoslavia. He said, " we have to figure out a way to get out " ( and he didn't mean to get Milosevic out, he meant to get our troops out ). He correctly pointed out that for each one person killed in Kosovo, there have been forty killed in the next smallest example of ethnic cleansing or genocidal conduct throughout the world. He thought if we really had humanitarian issues in mind, that we would be going where the problem was large and obvious, and not where you have to use a magnifying glass to find it ( atleast before the NATO bombing began to destroy Yugoslavia as a whole ). Wolf also had Senator Dianne Feinstein ( D ) there to whine the Whitehouse talking points fax subjects in a ' disgrace to the United States Senate fashion ' ( what must other countries think when they see bags of wind like her in control of our government? ). He had other guests, but they only repeated their overly-used and uninteresting, Clinton administration scripted and ordered, DNC mantras.
Like in World War II, Vietnam and Desert Storm, and now with the " Clinton/Gore War "; the American media is now under the direct control of the central government in Washington D.C.. Big Brother isn't just watching us, he is now trying to guide or control us?
