The S Word.

Clinton continues his word game, from Ireland.

I didn't see ot hear it myself yet, but the media ( and UPI specifically ) is reporting that Bill Clinton has finally used the S word in relation to his immoral and disgusting affair with Monica Lewinsky. It is really too late for him to say " sorry ". We all know that he is only sorry that he got caught. We all know he is only using the word because Senator Lieberman finally went public with his outrage at Clinton's conduct, and he knows other Democrats will not be far behind in criticizing him publicly!

UPI reported September 4th: " It was indefensible and I'm sorry about it,'' Clinton told reporters today in the wake of a harsh rebuke by Democratic Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut. " There's nothing that he or anyone else could say in a personal or critical way that I don't imagine I would disagree with since I have already said it myself to myself,'' Clinton said. ``And I'm very sorry about it.''

It is the beginning of Labor Day weekend and I'm outta' here before actually seeing Clinton say " sorry " for myself. I am taking the usually very reliable word of UPI on this. The question is, what does the word " sorry " in this context really refer to? We all know the President is very fond of playing word games with the public and himself ( really a pityful state of affairs ).

UPI has reported and I have seen video tape of: " I've already said that I made a bad mistake,'' Clinton said. ".... So I have nothing else to say except that I can't disagree with anyone else who wants to be critical of what I have already acknowledged was indefensible.''

What is his " mistake " ? What is he " sorry " for?

Does he mean that his " mistake " was:

1) Getting caught in an adulterous affair with a young government employee/intern?

2) Lying in an official court proceeding in front of Judge Wright?

3) Lying to almost everyone?

4) Covering up the affair and the lying about the affair for 7 months?

5) Not settling the Paula Jones lawsuit before depositions started?

6) Unleashing his Whitehouse attack dogs on anyone with the deceny to expose his disgusting conduct?

7) Not apologizing to any concerned and admitting he lied, in his August 17th attack-non-apology speech?

8) Abusing his power of the Presidency: in giving favors to, covering up the relationship with, and the actual sexual affair with; Monica Lewinsky?

What is he " sorry " for:

1) Lying to Senator Joseph Lieberman?

2) Attacking the Independant Counsel, in his " speech " of August 17th?

3) Costing the US taxpayers 6 or 7 million dollars, since January (26) 1998?

4) Dragging the office of the President down into the gutter, to a level that no President before him has done?

5) Committing arguably impeachable offenses while President?

6) Bringing a " corrupt small town partisan political party machine " to Washington and trying to put it into place?

7) Thinking that he could get away with all of the above?

I believe that if you look at Clinton's words, what you will find is, he is saying that he is sorry for his mistake. Take your pick of the above mistakes, or figure out your own. The bottom line is, that it is " too little, and too late ", as opposed to, " more, sooner than later ". He missed any chance of forgiveness on August 17th, from me; on January 26th from many!

Did I forget anything? I am typing quickly, as it's time to get outta' here for Labor Day weekend!
