Little Rock And Roll-over!

Susan McDougal is found not guilty of obstruction of justice.

Susan McDougal refused to answer questions posed by a Grand Jury in relation to the testimony of Bill and Hillary Clinton in an Arkansas criminal proceeding where she was convicted of multiple Whitewater related offenses. She then spent eighteen months in jail on a civil contempt citation. Well, Bill Clinton must be very happy today, as he will not have to pardon her, as the result of her obstruction of justice and criminal contempt trial was the equivalent of complete exoneration. Thus, she will never be forced to answer questions under oath truthfully about Clinton's involvement in those old Little Rock dirty dealings.

U.S. District Judge George Howard Jr. allowed the McDougal defense to parade witnesses with nothing to do with Susan's failure to answer the Grand Juror's questions before this sitting jury. This unbelievable OJ trial-like, Judge Ito-esque decision doomed the prosecution from the very start!

She was found not guilty by the possibly biased liberal Democrat jury of the single obstruction of justice charge and the jury was hopelessly deadlocked on the multiple charges of criminal contempt. I would venture to guess that a new trial will never happen on these deadlocked charges, if the same Clinton left-over appointee judge gets the case. It is very sad that the court system is the latest casuality of the " Clinton Dictatorship of Destruction ". To dot the exclaimation point of the deep sickness and injustice associated with the Clinton cronies and their escape of prosecution for things that would send regular folks like you and me to jail for life, McDougal's possibly integrity challenged Johnnie Cockran-like strategy wielding attorney Mark Geragos gloated, " There is nothing I would like better to do than come back and put Ken Starr on trial again "? This is proof positive that this kangaroo court was in session to smear the prosecution from the very beginning!

These are the questions we wanted answered, but quite possibly will never get a proper answer to:

*1) Was Clinton aware of a three hundred thousand dollar loan to Mrs. McDougal from David Hale, who pled guilty to mail fraud and conspiracy? Hale said Clinton pressured him to make the loan in 1986, in the presence of McDougal. The government claims Susan McDougal used the money for purposes other than what it was documented to be used for.

*2) Did Clinton know about Lorance Heights, an 800-acre tract south of Little Rock that the Whitewater Development Corporation purchased in 1986? Prosecutors say the company used money from the original loan to secure the land. The Clintons have said James McDougal never told them about Lorance Heights or the loan.

*3) Whether Bill Clinton testified truthfully during the 1996 trial of Susan and James McDougal and the then-Governor Jim Guy Tucker?

*4) Why the words " Payoff Clinton " were written in on a $5,081.82 check drawn on a McDougal account and payable to Madison Guaranty, signed by Susan McDougal, in the appropriate time frame?

The orchestrated partial answers we got to some of the above questions were done in full Clinton word-parsing style. McDougal said that she " did not hear anything untruthful " when the President testified at her 1996 trial. She continued, " nothing he said was untrue to me " and " I never discussed the loan with William Jefferson Clinton ". You be the judge, though I believe it is quite obvious that these answers were carefully crafted and scripted.

One must ask this rhetorical question. Is it safe to go to court in front of a Clinton-appointed judge in Little Rock, Arkansas if you are anything but a FOB ( friend of Bill )? It would seem that the Clinton cancer has spread through out all three branches of government, atleast in the central government and Clinton's home state! Judge Susan Webber Wright found this decision offensive and coincidentally found Bill Clinton in contempt of court in the Paula Jones case, presumably for lying or failing to correct his lying attorney in court. I suppose it is nice to know that there still is one honest judge left in Arkansas!
