The Red China Syndrome?

The House of Representitives Select Committee on National Security, releases it's " Report on Chinese Espionage ".

The committee members had a short news conference as the White House finally had to release the report they had been sitting on since early January. If you don't know how it works, it goes like this. The report was classified and had to be submitted to the White House for redaction or censorship. Obviously, the White House had to stall until after the impeachment process was over ( partisan Democrat minority conspiracy of exoneration ), or there would have been even bigger trouble than there is now. With Clinton's integrity under the greatest of suspicion possible in his illegal undeclared war against Yugoslavia, the administration had to cover it up until the spinmeisters could get their lies and half-truths out there to soften the inital blow of the release of the report. Here it is the last week of May, and five months later, the report if finally released to the public, after four months of White House leaks and lies!

Here are the players and what they said:

*Representitive Christopher Cox ( R )said thirty precent of the report is still classified. He began, " These are judgements, estimates of what might happen...the facts and sources must be protected ". He hit on six points that I found important:

1) Secret missile technology provided to the People's Republic of China by Loral and Hughes. " In the wake of three failed launches...the failure analysis benefitted the PRC rockets...useful for ballistic missiles ". Loral and Hughes acted without a required license ". This is called, they got a waiver from the Clinton administration. This is the direct opposite of the Bush administration cancelling everything, after the Tiananmen Square massacre. Oh, but the President-elect, Bill Clinton was quick to reverse that!

2) " The PRS has stolen information on every warhead in our inventory...and the neutron bomb...the penetration continues to this very day ". This is quite disturbing; especially since the Clinton spin machine continues to claim they solved all the problems. Okay, I get it now; " the Red Chinese pay the DNC, so there is no problem? "

3) " Since 1996 the United States has sent six hundred super computers to the PRC...none were sent there before then ". This is like totally treasonous man, these 'puters are used for designing and testing nukes!

4) " The administration, we unanimously found was negligent ". This is important, because though the Democrats are still viciously partisan, they had to agree how bad the problem was in respect to the current White House management.

5) and 6 ) Were points about the submarine detection and electromagnetic pulse technologies. He didn't touch too much on the loss of the Legacy nuclear waepons codes under the current White House administration.

*Representitive Norm Dicks ( D ), ranking member on the committee and so chief committee presidential apologist, said, " The President is thoroughly engaged on this issue ". Oh yeah, right..." The PRC has been successful in acquiring some information "...sure..." The conclusions of this report were written in a worst case scenario fashion "...whatever. I still find it hard to believe how easily these democRATS lie to support their precious first philanderer!

*Representitive Porter Goss ( R ) thought the Clinton administration policy was to " over engage ( China ) at the expense of national security ". He ended with, " We have more work to do investigating ".

*Representitive John Spratt Jr. ( R ) said the " worst case scenario was the right approach ". He offered that, " the worst happened in 1988 ". I assume he is referenceing the theft of the W-88 submarine launched ICBM warhead.

*Representitive Doug Bereuter ( R ) called this, " The gravest single loss of our nation's secrets ever ". He declared of the report, " What we have provided is not the worst case scenario ". He finished with a testiment to the far too well used Democrat excuse of ' no controlling legal authority ' or ' you can't convince a jury of that ', with, " Some things are more important than getting a conviction, some things are more important than nailing someone to the wall ". I assume this " thing " is " national security "?

*Representitive Lucille Roybal-Allard ( D ) was a good little DNC-fense attorney for the Clinton administration, saying, " U.S. satellite companies are required to provide security during foreign lauches ". Instead of addressing their fearless leader's complicity in providing the environment where this sort of thing could happen, she chose to say, " We recommend the Department of Defense supply the security in the future ".

*Bobby Scott ( D ), of partisan Democrat Judiciary Committee infamy, rationalized for his great living God Pharoah Bill Clinton, by pointing out, " There is plenty of blame to go around ". Astonishingly, he actually said that the " export of high performance computers to China is in the best interest of the United States ". Huh? This guy proved he was an obedient little DNC robot, by continuing to lie for his fearless leader, " No political pressure had been applied ". Now wait just a dog gone minute here, he then mislead further, with a smirk, " We found nothing of a referable nature to forward to the Judiciary Committee ".

*Lastly came Representitive Curt Weldon ( R ), who was mad that the Clinton administration covered up the report for so many months, leaking the whole while, with, " February first, Sandy Berger released the White House spin on our still classified report ". He continued, " This report is not just about our labs ", and " the bulk of the responsibilities lie ( sic ) within our own government ".

Then came the march of Clinton and his cronies, to ' lie, deny and stick to it ':

*Bill Clinton was making a speech in Texas on a completely different subject, but he had to lie like a reptile, like only he seems to be able to do, " We have been working with the committee to see that the people get the benefit of as much information as possible ". Okay, so this means, ' cover it up for five months '? He lied on and on about " background checks " ( he used that one against the NRA just last week ) and " polygraph tests ", saving his biggest whopper for last, " I will work very hard with the Congress to protect our national interest ". That one is easy, it means that you won't catch him again!

*Bill Richardson, Secretary of Energy, was there to prop up this dear despot with, " The President ordered wholesale improvements in February 1998 ". Hey, then how come he said there was no PRC espionage that he knew about, in that press conference in March? I think he meant to say the President ordered Chinese take-out. He went on, " There is no evidence of a wholesale loss of information ". Huh? I wasn't born yesterday, and lies that this just don't fly. He had the audacity to blatantly lie like a rug, " We have corrected the problem "...with a " new program with a security czar ". Sheesh man, these disgraceful Democrats have sold our country down the river!

*Edward Curran, Director of Counter Intelligence for the Department of Energy, wallowed his way through more Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse smoke screens, with, " We have hired experienced counter intelligence officers...I am very satisfied ". He must have gotten some of that Chinese take-out also!

The Associated Press got an advance copy and this morning reported this:

" Information on a total of seven U.S. warheads, including two of America's most modern, is believed to have been obtained through Chinese espionage in the 1980s, although the losses were not discovered until the mid-1990s. The report also referred to the apparent theft of neutron bomb technology in 1995, but said details remained classified because the matter is under investigation. The report said that in the late 1990s, China obtained ' electromagnetic weapons technology ' that could be used to attack satellites and missiles, improved detection techniques that could be used against submarines, and ' research technology that if taken to successful conclusion could be used to attack U.S. satellites and submarines.' "

Okay man, so it looks like the thefts under Reagan and Bush could have been massive, but they were not aware of them. The thefts under Clinton of the neutron bomb, electromagnetic pulse weapon technology and submarine tracking technology cannot be dismissed. I have to dive into the report myself, in earnest, but the widespread reporting has been that Loral and Hughes ( big Clinton donors ) gave the People's Republic of China ( big Clinton donors ) satellite and missile guidance technology to go with the neutron bomb, disguised as a way to launch private payloads without the crappy Chinese rocket exploding. It's just not too unbelievable anymore, especially with Bill " I found a way to get it in ten thousand dollar wads " Clinton's shoddy record on campaign finance abuses.

" The PRC's appetite for information and technology appears to be insatiable and the energy devoted to the task enormous ", the report said. Yeah baby, and the Democrat Party's appetite for cash is ravenous!
