It is being reported by Democrat Representitive Charles Rangel of New York, the ranking Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee trade subcommittee, on Monday August 2nd, he learned that the State Department will soon announce the President's intention that charters will be allowed from Kennedy International Airport in New York and Los Angeles International Airport, sometime after October. Is this a cruel hoax? How can Clinton arbitrarily change forty years of legislated official American policy without consulting the Congress? You forgot that he announced the opening up of relations with Cuba, back in January. Well, it is called abuse of power my friends, and we have seen Clinton do it time after time ( lately with recess appointments that he knows the Congress would block ). Bill Clinton will stop at nothing to impliment his radical Fabian socialist agenda, including coddling Red China and now Cuba.
The White House Rangel Robot said, " This is a common sense decision that will make it easier and hopefully cheaper for more Americans to visit Cuba ". Huh? This is the last communist dictatorship, left over from the Cold War, and now Clinton rewards their decades of oppression of their citizens, by opening their island up to mass American tourism? Has he forgotten they were going to point nukes at us, under their current fearless leader, Fidel Castro? Can you spell C-U-B-A-N M-I-S-S-I-L-E C-R-I-S-I-S? I knew you could ( if you are too young to remember on your own, read a book! ). I just can't believe that after almost four decades of embargo, we can't wait until the hard line communist leadership there is replaced, before opening things up!
Currently, flights are allowed from Havana to Miami, but, come October, Cuban refugees will be streaming into Los Angeles and New York ( just what they need in those two cities, more immigrants? ). As a prelude to this puny policy of opening up Cuba, the Clinton administration re-established direct mail between the United States and Cuba and expanded the number of Americans able to send cash to Cubans to include nonrelatives. Now isn't that special; Clinton has created a monetary pipeline to his commie buddies in Havana!
Okay, so you thought the new Clinton policy was altruistic; but you were wrong tobacco breath! Check this out:
The United States Treasury Department, Office of Foreign Assets Control, which covers the selection of the airlines allowed to fly to Cuba, is considering whether or not to allow normal air carrier flights, as well as the charter planes. The important part here, is ' covers the selection of the airlines allowed '. This opens up the possiblity of lobby and special interest groups bidding for the contracts ( or the possibility of future business ), with the DNC the ultimate benefactor of the, non-quid pro quo, campaign contributions. Remember, this unholy Clinton administration of greed has never met a campaign contribution or donor that it didn't like!
I wonder what the Customs Service personnel are going to do with all those extra Cuban cigars?
