John Cash epitomizes the immorality and selfishness of some modern men. His action of inaction, in leaving innocent Sherrice Iverson in the hands of now convicted murderer Jeremy Strohmeyer, may have contributed to the death of the little girl. We are not talking about teenage date rape, but a vicious, depraved molestation and killing of a very young child.

Strohmeyer is spending the rest of his life in jail ( I would have perferred that he got the death penalty, but maybe the other prison inmates will take care of that ). Cash is free, and out shooting his mouth off about getting more girls at college! Sadly, Nevada had no laws covering the report ( or failure to do so ) of the possible commission of crimes, by witnesses.

I have two questions that only the future will answer:

1) Will John Cash's peer group, and society in general, shun him or " celebritize " him, ala' OJ? It will make me sick to see him become a millionaire over book deals or media appearences!

2) Can the Iverson family sue Cash or the casino ( better Cash, to keep him from spending any dirty money ), in a civil lawsuit for contributory negligence? Any reader of my previous opinion articles, knows that I am not in love with lawyers, but this would be a case to investigate!

I hope that this incident will not be forgotten, once it has left the media spotlight.
