Menage' a trois?

Clinton tries to " wag foreign policy " again!

It's September 28th in D.C. and Bill Clinton wasn't about to miss another photo-op with foreign leaders. This time, though, it was foot in mouth time.

The media are fed a line that Madeline Albright had arranged a mini-summit between Netanyahu, Arafat, and Clinton. They would be making a breakthru in the Middle East peace crisis, between Isreal and the Palestinians.

Well, the three of them walk out together at the joint news conference and announce a big fat nothing! That's right, zippo, nada, NOTHING!

" They made a very unusual committment ", the President said. To talk for a few days, but not now? Yeah, that is some blockbuster news! He wants Isreal to trade some more land for signed agreements ( to be broken )? The arabs have NEVER lived up to a single thing that they put down on paper. Arafat's word on stopping terrorist activities, is about as good as Clinton's word was in January, about Miss Lewinsky. Sorry Charlie, Netanyahu is just not that gullible. The American people can see when a mini-summit is created out of nothing, for some possible good media exposure.

The President got to say, " we made progress ", a couple of times, but could not give anything that they progressed on. I wonder how Arafat and Netanyahu felt, being used by Bill Clinton, in an attempt to score some media points? The only news, was that they were all together at the same time!

Atleast, they didn't hold the news conference in an auditorium packed with applauding Clinton appointees, again!
