Today ( Monday January 11th ) on C-Span, Senators Harkin and Wellstone opened the Washington D.C. office of the Democrat Liar's Club. They both went before the television cameras and blantantly lied about Senate procedures. I find it remarkable that the media folks are so uninformed on the Senate procedures, that they didn't call them on it! These two left wing extremist Democrat troublemakers are trying to stir up partisan fervor under orders from the Whitehouse and the DNC!

They made a phoney announcement of offering a bill for all Senate debate to be in the open and televised. They directly lied to the American people when they said the debate will be in secret and not seen by the public. The truth is that all debate done in private, is released in transcript form shortly after it occurs. <---- This is the rule of the Senate ( unless national security is involved )!!!

These two Senators are worse that just bald faced liars. They are perpetrating these lies to encourage partisan bickering and to effect the public opinion polls that are finally starting to drop in disfavor of the first philanderer ( Gallup poll approval rating for Clinton down 10 percent to 63 this week ). Why didn't even one of the journalists present there point out that the transcripts are made available? Only one journalist ( thank God for that one ) realized that these two blind partisan Whitehouse Democrat robots were skirting the official process in not letting Tom Daschle or Trent Lott know about their choreographed lying media event. The reporter asked them why they didn't go through normal channels and/or atleast contact a Republican Senator for bi-partisan support? Instead of telling the truth, that they were trying to score political points for the DNC and make the Republicans look like they were attempting to hide something, they said no Republicans were interested in what they had to say. This is quite understandable, as their bill for openess is completely a fiction, and the rule of the Senate is to make transcripts available. Only the uninformed people in the television audience will be duped by this amateur attempt at misleading and lying!

These two misleading, grandstanding clowns left a lingering smell after they exited the room that leads all the way back to the Whitehouse Oval Office! Only a Clinton could have come up with something as obviously untrue, and thought that someone in the viewing audience would swallow it. Their motivation could only be partisanship, to lie to the people that way and invoke the images of back room secret dealings. The Democrats want to have the cameras on as much as possible, so they can play to the television audience, instead of following the additional oath of impartiality they took as jurors. As a matter of fact, a reporter asked the lying Tom Harkin about whether or not his vile and vicious statements characterizing the proceedings as a " dug heap " indicated he had violated his oath already? His answer was a pack of more lies, about how " impartial " didn't really mean " impartial "? Yes, he actually did adopt a parsing of words type of answer identical in style to Clinton's before the Grand Jury, where impartial had nothing to do with weighing facts objectively? Oh man, is this country in trouble with incredible lying clowns like this in the US Senate!

Tom Harkin is the worst form of Democrat lap dog dedicated to Bill Clinton and the DNC without regards to the offense the President committed. I firmly believe that Clinton could have committed many capital crimes and Harkin would still vote to acquit!

Paul Wellstone is just a House Democrat hack, who just happened to be elected to the Senate by his ignorant electorate. If this is what the future has in store for us in the form of Senators, this country is truely doomed to destruction! I remember Wellstone from the House as being one of those individuals who can lie through their teeth with a smile on his face. He would never vote yes on impeachment, if the subject has a " D " next to his name, no matter what the offense!

I was really hoping that Democrats wouldn't try this kind of crap on the public. I suppose they are just testing the waters, to see how stupid and gullible the people really are?
