Just when you thought you had seen it all, with Vice President Al Gore on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine with an airbrushed Mick Jagger codpiece/erection and Esquire magazine featuring the Monica Lewinsky point of view crouch shot of a mugging Bill Clinton visually asking the world to " kiss it ", the democRAT MAGGOTS out do themselves by playing the most disgusting of dirty tricks on Republican candidate for the presidency, Texas Governor George W. Bush, just meager days before the election ( And you were beginning to think it was safe to watch television againg; wrong? )!
If anyone had any doubt in their mind just how morally bankrupt and banana republic dictatorship-like the despicable despots in the Democrat Party truely are; they only have to look back to this week, when a long time Democrat National Committee agent, failed candidate, official and all around political hack/operative, local Maine lawyer ( liar? ), Tom Connolly offered the ultimate in dirty tricks information on the GOP candidate for the presidency of the United States to a seemingly young liberal news media maven eager to make her mark and get her ten minutes ( or less ) in the national spotlight. This volatile information came in the form of a traffic violation arrest record of a drunk driving citation ( in Maine it is referred to as Operating Under the Influence or OUI as opposed to the more recognizable DUI ) which the then thirty year old son of future President George Bush plead guilty to and paid a fine on September 4, 1976. This decades old information that George W. Bush only generally but not specifically admitted to, being a recovering alcoholic, having problems and doing things in his past he was not proud of, may come back to haunt him enough to spoil his bid for election!
The local Fox affiliate in Maine, WPXT-TV reporter Erin Fehlau claimed that she looked into the arrest record after over hearing a rumor from a conversation at the Cumberland County Courthouse in Maine from Tom Connolly, a local lawyer who also ran an unsuccessful campaign for governor of Maine two years ago on the Democrat Party ticket. I SMELL A BIG FAT COMMIE RAT!!! Fehlau made be just an ignorant patsy in this one, like Warren Beatty in the old movie ' Parallax View ' was, but Tom Connolly has spoiled democRAT DIRTY TRICK cheese on his breath and hands. Connolly, a Portland, Maine lawyer and life long democRAT activist who has worked closely in the state democRAT PACK and attended the Democrat National Committee nominating convention at Staples Center in Los Angeles earlier this year, claimed that some fellow ( democRAT? ), who was in the Biddeford District Court in 1976, was concerned that the general public should be made aware of the conviction, through guilty plea, of the younger Bush over twenty years ago? This just doesn't ring true, as Connolly could not be any more deeply involved with the ' DNC uber alles forces ' trying to elect their very own Bill Clinton clone, the Clown Prince Albert Gore, at all costs. Fehlau was intentionally given the docket number of the case, as this was the only way it could have been looked up!
Just about everyone who isn't a lying DNC spinmeister has recognized this DEPERATE DIRTY TRICK for what it is, TYPICAL DEMOCRAT SLEAZE! I believe the release was timed to coincide with Ross Perot giving his endorsement to George W. Bush on CNN's Larry King Live cable television show that same night, thus deflecting the interest of the media sheep to a more welcome conservative target like Bush and his character.
George W. Bush did much of his own damage control, saying directly to the assembled press corpse(sic), " I have been very candid about my past. I've said I've made mistakes in the past. People knew that ". He went on to say that the reporting of the incident was accurate and he didn't make this specific record public to keep his daughters from finding out about his past embarassing problems. He clarified, " I often times said that years ago I made some mistakes. I occasionally drank too much and I did on that night. I regret that it happened, but it did; I've learned my lesson ". Bush did not offer up his suspicions on the timing of this release of decades old durogatory information seemingly in DNC hands at least since their convention in Los Angeles, until he was asked specifically to comment on it by a reporter. Bush then replied, " Four days before an election, come on ", he continued, " I do find it interesting that it's come out four or five days before the election ". When asked about who he thinks was behind the untimely ( or timely if your are a Leon Trotsky liberal Democrat ) release, he said that it was " their job ", to find out!
Bush spokesperson, Karen Hughes, sought to clear the air by reviewing the two even older college incidents in which a youthful George was involved in. He was cited for a prank where he stole a Christmas wreath and he was asked to leave a footbal game because of disruptive behavior; both while he was a student at Yale. Hughes also described the decades old incident itself, when GWB was drinking in a Kennebunkport, Maine bar with family and friends on Labor Day weekend in 1976. Bush plead guilty and paid a one hundred and fifty dollar fine, losing his Maine drivers license for almost two years, though his Texas license remained active. I am impressed that he ( the younger George Bush ) didn't call his father to have the ticket " fixed ", as I believe he was Director of the Central Intelligence Agency at the time and it would have been quite easy to make it disappear completely. Bush quit drinking alcohol entirely, the day after his fortieth birthday on July 6, 1986!
The ticketing officer, Calvin Bridges, said that he observed Bush go on the shoulder of the road. He failed the field sobriety test and blew a 0.10 on the Breathalizer, just barely the official level of intoxication at the time in Maine. On Bush's demeanor, he said, " The man ( GWB ) was, and I say this without being facetious, a picture of integrity. He gave no resistance. He was very cooperative ".
The Gore Campaign was in complete denial mode, something they do very well; assumably because they get a lot of practice!
" Our campaign had absolutely nothing to do with this " ( Gore-speak for, " you have to rip the lungs out of your opponent "? ), said a smirking Al Gore. Doesn't that make you feel comfortable and isn't he just ever so believable? Chris, the only Gore rodent who reaches the rat-like qualities of the unholy Clinton's Podesta, Lehane, Gore campaign liar du'jour, said, " We had absolutely nothing to do with this ". Are you feeling better; now that you know Lehane and Gore were reading from the same predigested DNC/Gore Campaign talking points fax memo script?
AL GORE HAS NOW PROVEN BEYOND ANY DOUBT THAT HE IS THE POLITICAL MAGGOT WHICH I THOUGHT HE WAS!
I guess we all now know why Al Gore has been acting so arrogant and confident since the RATS ate their cheese together at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This political carrion knew he had a putrid ace in the hole where the sun don't shine, ready to pull out and show to those who have a strong nose and stomache!
My only criticism of George Bush, would be; why didn't he use his appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show, and his subsequent mention of his alcohol problem, to softly open this episode up to the voters?
