When I watched and read about the hideous mistakes made by the Boulder police in the Ramsey case, it made me think that the LAPD crime lab during the OJ trial was a picture-perfect operation. To think that the Boulder police would allow the Ramseys to find and retrieve the body of JonBenet hours after the fact, just mystifies me. Their mishandling of the evidence has been atrocious, making a conviction in any trial near to impossible.
Now comes the massacre at Columbine High School. It's sad, it's quite tragic, but as the details come out, the Colorado area municipal police forces are not looking real good. First, the teacher who was killed, was allowed to bleed to death, possibly after the child-gunmen were dead themselves. Second, the two teenage murderers had just left the juvenile justice system months before the massacre.
Another Colorado police force has been made to look like the Keystone Cops...
Most disturbing, though highly understandable, is the way the liberal news media and the Democrats themselves jumped on the gun control bandwagon. I mean they were all screaming assault weapons and machine guns. Well, when the dust cleared, guess what; there was no rifle involved. The only semi-long arm was a sub-rifle caliber 9mm carbine, and the handgun was one of those cheap jam-monsters they sell Tony Montana wannabes. There were two sawed off shotguns and some homemade bombs, actually a rather uncanny amount of homemade bombs ( made you think about how many kids may really have been involved ).
When the knee-jerk bleeding heart liberals try to whine gun control pabulum at you, point out that three of the guns were bought legally, and illegally given to the teenagers by an adult accomplice or friend. The fourth gun was an illegal sale. Both of these individuals are looking fairly guilty of crimes already on the books. No additional law would make either of these two people look any more guilty at the moment.
We are beginning to find out that the school cop had printouts of the sicko webpages these two creeps wrote a year ago. Astonishingly, the neighbor of one of these kids turned them in to the police almost a year before the massacre, but they took no action?
