Bill Clinton is really good at raising money, legal or otherwise, for the DNC. He is also very good at using the power of his office for political paybacks to contributors. He is great at skirting the ragged edge of the law in completing these tasks. He is not very astute at foreign policy.
Take a look at what he has done under his watch as our leader.
He has defanged our military by relaxing the standards on gays in the military, increasing the participation of women in combat close positions, and reducing the number of active aircraft carrier groups. These can only serve to lower our international respect, when negotiating from a position of power.
He has coddled rogue regimes, like Red China and Iraq. He softened George Bush's treatment of Saddam with woefully weak responses to Iraq's goading of The United Nations and direct provocations of US aircraft patrolling the UN no-fly zone over Iraq. He goes to Red China, gets touchy feely, and gives away our best technology; instead of getting tough with them over Taiwan, human rights issues, and their trading practices with other terrorist-like rogue nations.
He has offered little or no leadership in dealing with the Middle East, Bosnia, and Northern Ireland.
Take a look at what has happened under his watch as our leader.
Sexual oriented scandal has become rampant in the military and driven many career officers to early retirement. Political correctness has replaced readiness, as the main concern of the command structure of the miltary
Iraq has begun to thumb its nose at the UN, knowing there is little or no chance of retaliation militarily.
Red China continues to expand its trade and influence through out the rogue and terrorist nations of the world; even intruding itself into our own poltical system. Only the future will tell whether or they are selling off technology we gave them.
The tension is still high in the Middle East between Isreal and the Palestinians.
Bosnian war criminals have not been held to task, and tensions there are still rather high.
The peace process in Northern Ireland is on again, off again; with violence still prevalent. Clinton actually welcomed the murdering terrorist leader of the most vicious Irish sect like he was a diplomat, in the Whitehouse!
A general rise in terrorism all over the world, as can be seen in the two recent US Embassy bombings in Africa.
India and Pakistan both detonate multiple nuclear devices; so much for nuclear proliferation. We are probably as close to seeing a nuclear war erupt, as we were back in the 60s. A group of nuclear scientists actually moved the " Nuclear War Clock " five minutes closer to BOOM.
What have I left out? Oh, why did Clinton need a over a dozen aircraft and a reported 40+ million bucks, to take a trip to Red China?
