I wonder how much the Whitehouse pays Wolf Blitzer? Oh, that's right, he works for DNN; the Democratic News Network. You say wrong, it's CNN? Well, what's in a letter? Anyhow, he has the Whitehouse spin down to the word. The cable network he works for did air the Tailwind fiction, as news? Fox and MSNBC are replacing the blatantly partisan cable news shows with more objective reporting and fairly balanced political opinion shows.
Luckily, the Sunday broadcast television news opinion shows were a little less biased.
Henry Hyde continues to try and be fair, in the face of Democrats flip-flopping on issues of procedure and substance in investigating the President. Gephardt asks for the Watergate model and gets it; but Conyers condemns the action and twists the procedures of Rodino to fit his partisan attempts to disrupt the Constitutional process. Now, Gephardt seems to support the new Democratic delaying action model? In fact, Conyers continued the Whitehouse spin, by villifying Newt Gingrich and Ken Starr? It's all about Clinton's conduct, not the Speaker of The House or the Independant Counsel!
William Bennet said, " If the President wants to repair the breach, call off the dogs ". He believes ( and I agree ) that the President is not repentant. The one good thing that may come out of all this, is that CHARACTER WILL MATTER, in the year 2000 elections! In reference to the unrelenting attacks from the Whitehouse, Joe Biden said, " The President should just be quiet ".
Barney Frank continues to be the evil court jester; as he jokes about something, that is not a laughing matter! He is sort of the flip side of a coin with Ross Perot on the other side! Ross said, " the President doesn't have low morals and ethics, but no morals and ethics...( Clinton's ) integrity, duty and honor have been erased ". Perot recognizes the ' wag the dog ' tactics in Clinton's " lust for power ", in his ( Clinton's ) ability to " start a little war to influence the polls ".
James Rogan thinks an artificial deadline only invites more stone walling, and I am sure that the partisan, morally bankrupt Democrats would take advantage of it.
Will Bill Clinton's ultimate ' wag the dog ' tactic be, to not sign the government spending bills ( or continuing resolutions ) to cause a government shutdown, and blame it on the Republicans?
The Democrats do not care about what the President did, as he is THEIR BOY. Their concern is purely political and they will only drop support of Clinton, if their party loses bigtime on November 3rd! Fairness, from Democrats; I don't see any...
