Democrat Schizophrenia Sets in on Royal Family Day?

Democrat chants of " we did everything ", on August 14th changed to, " nothing was done ", on Deux Regis, August 15th?

Seemingly oblivious to the truth, the tone and mantras of the Democrat National Convention touting their endless list of accomplishments under the last eight years of the Clinton/Gore Administration from Monday ( see: Day of the Woman(izer)? ( 8-15-2000 ) ) changed dramatically to the direct opposite today, Tuesday August 15. Do the Democrats have no shame? Do they really believe we don't remember them taking credit for the prosperity and then over night it suddenly becomes, nothing was done? I suppose that it is actually quite fitting to come on a day billed as KENNEDY DAY ( I prefer the more correctly descriptive, ROYAL FAMILY DAY ), as JFK certainly must have had an attack of amnesia or schizophrenia when he sold out the United States trained, and up until then sponsored, Cuban nationalist patriots attempting to free the island dictatorship, allowing them to be slaughtered and/or captured on the beach at the now infamous, " BAY OF PIGS "!

The March of Kennedys, the self and media declared American Royal Family, Night ( I thought we fought a war against Great Britain to rid ourselves of such concepts as a king or royal family? ) began with another pandering appearance by Christopher Reeve, who seems to preach that the GOP is uncaring and souless. My memory of his previous partisan appearances was not hazy enough to ready me for his statement that, " The Democrat Party is the real party of inclusion ".

Robert Kennedy Jr., Natural Resources Defense Counsel, obviously an attorney representing other attorneys, preceded United States Senator Russ Feingold, who urged the DNC, " to eliminate soft money all together ". He has been singing this song for a while, too bad it doesn't seem to include banning money from labor unions or trial lawyers. Seeming not so altruistic, Feingold campaigned, " Al Gore has been fighting for campaign finance since I was in law school ". Yeah, like that is just what we need; more lawyers ( paid immunized liars? ) defending " Mister No Controling Legal Authority ". I suppose Feingold must be suffering from his own case of campaign finance abuse amnesia and forgot about Al Gore's Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple fundraiser?

Next came a march of Representitives, ex-Representitives and Representitive wannabees:

I finally noticed Representitive Marty Meehan, who still has not met a DNC supportive misleading statement he couldn't embrace. This guy was a misleading statement monster during the impeachment of Bill Clinton, as a member of Maxine Waters so-called Truth Police. He was one of those media talking head guests who would recite the Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse talking points fax memo over and over again, regardless of the truth of falsity of the content! He was a good little DNC soldier, saying, " Let's put the people back in charge ". Oh, is he finally offering to resign so that someone not beholding to special interest groups and a morally bankrupt political party could take his place?

Who better to follow a union boy, than a union member; Maria Ellen Duraso, Hotel Employees and Restaurant Union Local 11 President, droned on and on about ( illegal? ) immigration, speaking in Spanish like the Taco Bell chihuaua!

Representitive ( and tree hugger ) Earl Blumenauer of Oregon offered up the extremely far left wing liberals some food for socialist onslaught, saying, " Gore helped negotiate the Kyoto Treaty "? Excuse me, that so-called treaty has, rightly so, gone unratified. Not wanting to look too stupid, but following his DNC orders, he didn't exhort Al Gore's Vietnam ( combat? ) record, only saying, " Vietnam War, he was there "?

Representitive Norm Dicks ignored his own conclusions in the bi-partisan House Select Committee on National Security: Report on Chinese Espionage ( The Christopher Cox Report ) and declared that, " Al Gore is ready to lead the free world into the next century "?

Jane Harmon, repeat Democrat candidate for the United States House of Representitives, married to millionaire sound industry mogul Sidney Harmon, will have to rationalize long and hard to fit the latest DNC, " We represent the people, not the powerful ", model! Can you say 70s RICH FATCAT COCKTAIL PARTY WALL FLOWER? I knew you could!

Representitive Nita ( I should be running for U.S. Senator from New York State on the DNC ticket? ) Lowey did her good little Democrat nostalgia act, dredging up the dusty, decades old, abortion issue again with, " This election will determine whether or not Roe v. Wade will remain the law of the land ". I guess they figure if it worked forty years ago, it should work just as good now?

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, JFK's niece, got to say a few words, though they sunk to a partisan political level that could have remained silent. She introduced a ' Gore Climbs Mount Rainer ' video. I actually thought Gore really climbing the mountain was pretty cool, except for a couple of pictures that were intentionaly tilted to make it look more steep where they were taken. You didn't need to make it look any more steeply inclined, as that mountain still claims the lives of climbers every year. Hopefully Al and his son really did climb to the summit.

Kate Michelman, National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League, shoveled up more abortion pabulum. You know, that ' National Abortion Whatever League ' sounds like one of those ultra left wing liberal non-profit organizations that lose money or break even every year, but the officers are all paid plenty!

OH NO, HERE COMES THE JESSE JACKSON VIDEO FEATURING 60s AND 70s ACTION. Don't get me wrong, but JACKSON'S SPEAKING STYLE REMINDS ME OF OLD NEWSREELS OF ADOLPH HITLER.

Jesse Jackson, Rainbow/Push Coalition President and Founder, strutted arrogantly to the podium to a chant of JESSE, JESSE, JESSE. He began almost without his usual angry loud inflection, " The long arm of justice reaches not to the left or the right, but the moral center ". I was almost floored by this beginning, but Jesse soon began to rant and rave like a crazy person, as he usually does. He raged against the GOP convention like it was fire and brimstone time, attacking unrelentingly like I have never seen someone attack before. He used words like, " In Philadelphia "..." staged show ", " smoke "... " mirrors "..." act ", finishing by describing it as an " inclusion illusion ". I suppose he didn't know that the DNC had a quota system for the delegations to make sure they looked diverse? Naturally, he finally turned his attention away from the attack and to where he was, saying the DNC, " in Los Angeles is the real deal ". He described the Gore/Lieberman ticket as, " America's dream team, the Democratic Party ". He then launched into a vicious ad hominem attack on Republicans past and present with no regard for the truth, just attack, attack, attack. I finally tuned out. STOP YELLING JESSE, YOU MAKE ME SICK. I did hear the Jesse-induced chant/mantra, repeated endlessly, " STAY OUT THE BUSHES ". Yes, that is right, no OF in there, not once. This guy claims to be a man of God and he preaches this negativity and hate? Sheesh, I used to be a Democrat, now I am even embarassed about that. He ended with the usual brain dead mantra, " Keep hope alive ", over and over again, in the midst of, " Louder ". I am sorry, Colin Powell didn't preach this kind of hate!

NEXT CAME THE DASCHLE DOG, Senator Tom Daschle of someplace that should have known better. I was ready to take some notes, but lucky for us he only curbed himself briefly and mentioned nothing of note.

Showing no shame what so ever ( not that I thought there was any to be found in the Staples Center ), the DNC had Stephen J. Hawking on from England. Come on man, this guy can't even vote in our election. I don't know if it was live ( or Memorex? ), but luckily most every network cut away from him to Joseph Lieberman entering the convention hall. Was the timing intentional to avoid embarassment?

NEXT CAME THE KENNEDY PUNCH ( SPIKED ) LINE:

Caroline Kennedy, a very cute kid, but not a politician, introduced Teddy Kennedy by trying her luck at political double talk, speaking about, " decency " and Al Gore in the same paragraph, concluding with, " Help Al Gore create an America of our ideals ". Okay, wait a minute, now let me get this one straight, yesterday it was everything is beautiful and now we need to create it again? She tried to get a mantra chant going, but it fell well short of Jesse's, " It is up to us ". These Democrats now a days are really taking the chant thing more than a little bit over board!

I was wondering if it was an ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS MEETING or a DRIVERS EDUCATION CLASS, as Senator Edward Kennedy of Democrassechusettes praised Caroline for her " dignity and grace ". You gotta' give it to these democRATS, they are not deserting the sinking ship. Teddy invoked the name of his more conservative brother, saying, " How proud he ( JFK ) would be of Al Gore ". Wait a minute, man; I was around back then and I believe JFK may have been more proud of WJC, if he was proud of either one. JFK was a fiscal conservative. The Kennedys are some American's vision of royalty, but certainly not mine. When I was a Democrat, I was ashamed of JFK and LBJ, for our involvement in Vietnam especially. Teddy looked like he was about to keel over at any moment. I guess that is why he advocated a socialized health care plan with a MRI in every pot instead of a chicken?

Even Marlon Brando would have to put a package of cotton in each cheek to achieve the appropriate jowl level to play Teddy Kennedy. Amazingly, C-Span did a quick cut to a quizzical looking Maria Shriver during Teddy's speech, to make up for Arnold's semi-appearance at the GOP convention. I think it may prove that someone still has a sense of humor at ( DN )C-Span? Kennedy tried to paint Gore as, " non-partisan "? Wait a minute, Martha, hold on, as Teddy forgot about the GOP landslide in 1994 and did his version of Hillarycare, with the almost chant, " Universal health care by 2004 ". He started getting worked up again ( maybe the Viagra was kicking in a little early? ), preaching, yelling, " Fight for Al Gore because he is fighting for you ". Why do these Democrats want to fight so much? I think they have become victims of their own violent media ( Remember, those are the ones Hillary appreciated so much, like Joe and Al, because they stood for less violence in the media ) ? He started to look like the air was finally starting to leak out of the balloon, saying, " Let us make the most of our great moment ". Making what I consider a ( Freudian? ) slip, he began, " Let's not turn back to the ways of the past, which favored the few over the many ". " Favored the few over the many ", huh. He must be talking about micro-minorities like the animal rights activists and the gay lobby? He concluded with, " America dares to dream again ". If anyone, and I mean this affectionately, is a TOAD IN HUMAN CLOTHING; it is Teddy!

THE DNC PAID DOLLAR'S BILL.

Bill Bradley, ex-Senator from New Jersey, made a strong speech, which may take a little time before the significance of which to the DNC is really known. It carried the same new tone of a broken government in need of repair and not one riding the crest of the wave from the Clinton Going Away Party. To get his campaigning out of the way, he put on his political party hat early with, " Let me get right to the point. We are all here to elect the next president, Al Gore ". Picking up momentum, he continued, " It is essential we get behind Al Gore ". Get ready for this one man, it is a sick, real sick, " The country needs a Democratic conscience ". Okay, so what kind of non-sexual sleaze will be going on with the current Democratic conscience in the White House? Or, does this mean there would be no conscience at all? You could see through the smokescreen, as Bradley went on about how Al Gore had a " life routed in tolerance and religious faith ". Sorry guys, I wasn't born yesterday, or was it the day before.

Here comes the DNC-specific predigested talking points memo fax laxative fodder, " No window dressed diversity. We are the party of diversity ". Oops, I guess he didn't know about the DNC quota system for it's delegations either, though it was all over the media. This one popped out of nowhere, " Wealth is an appropriate reward for effort ". He hit health care hard, like Teddy did, saying he wanted to " end child poverty and provide health care to all ".

Representitive Harold Ford Jr. was the keynote speaker, or Harold Ford Jr. was the keynote speaker? I thought it was Bradley or Teddy; it wasn't? Ford was boring, BORING, but sometimes loud. I assume he was picked because he was young, a minority and from Gore's home state of Tennessee? Is this really what the Democrat Party is all about, LEFT AND LEFTER?

Rabbi Robert Wexler ( not the rabid Bob Wexler from the Judiciary Committee ) from the University of Judaism and Dianne Feinstein ended the night with a little whale watching.

Oh man, the Brian Williams-Chris Matthews-Paul Begala Gestalt Beast. The commentators say they thought the Democrats were going soft, but everyone I talk to thought the Democrat Attack was ruthless and cruel.

Yesterday the theme was everything is great and today everything is broken. Good night, Irene...
