While South Korea demands an apology from the North for sending a spy vessel into South Korean territorial waters, the temporarily Clinton loving arabs riot on the West Bank and Gaza. As the peace process stalls in Northern Ireland, our embassy is stoned in Damascus. With native ethnic Albanians being arrested again in Kosovo, Bill Clinton makes a videotape apology for airing in arab countries, about the bombing of Iraq. With pin prick airstrikes not even causing power blackouts in Baghdad, Operation Monica ( Free Willy or Desert Fox if you wish ) may be slowing down.

In the West Bank town of Hebron and the Gaza Strip town of Rafah arabs marched and/or rioted in support of Iraq. It is being reported that protestors waved Iraqi flags and chanted, " Death to Israel and death to America! ''. I guess it was a terrific idea for Clinton to have that love-fest with Arafat and the Palestinians, before he began to bomb Baghdad. The Wye interim peace accords are as good as dead and definately stalled for quite a while!

Syrians in Damascus marched and chanted, " Down with America ", in support of Iraq. They then turned their attention on the British and American embassies, stoning them. They even managed to enter the grounds and burn the American flag that was flying over it. In another action of protest, the residence of Ryan Crocker, the US ambassador, was also stoned. Let Clinton try to make peace between Syria and Israel now!

Clinton also felt the need to try to wag the arab dog with a choreographed videotape explaining ( apologizing for ) his attacks on Iraq. Reportedly, it ended with, " In the days ahead, I hope all Muslims will consider American's sincere desire to work with all people in the Middle East to build peace ". Sure man, who is Clinton trying to fool?

Clinton's ' wag the dog ' media image driven foreign policy was doomed to failure from the very beginning!
