With the public clammering for information and the moral authority of our chief executive erroded beyond repair, it is beginning to look like partisan Democrats will try to block the public from learning the truth, about such Executive Branch and Clinton family, antics as:
The ( possible ) illegal business transactions and influence peddling in pre-1993 Arkansas ( Whitewater ).
The ( possible ) illegal use of Department of Justice personnel and information by the Whitehouse ( Travelgate ).
The ( possible ) illegal use of confidential FBI files by the Whitehouse ( Filegate ).
The ( possible ) illegal use of confidential Department of Defense files, by agents of the Whitehouse in releasing Linda Tripp's file ( Fornigate ).
The ( possible ) pury of the President himself, regarding Monica Lewinsky ( Paula Jones Civil Lawsuit ).
The ( possible ) pattern and history, of abuse of power by Bill Clinton ( All ).
Will partisan attack dog Democrats like, Henry Waxman and Tom Lantos, try to block the release of Ken Starr's report to Congress? Will John Conyers and Chaka Fattah, make emotionally charged and non-fact related speeches, designed to obfuscate and fool the public? These Democrats are, or are in the company of, ones who loudly urged the release of campaign finance investigation files before the witnesses testified. Hey guys, you can't have it both ways!
The Associated Press reported that, this week some Democrats were calling for the report to be made public. Will wonders ever cease? AP also reported, " On Wednesday, House Republican Whip Tom DeLay of Texas said Starr's report should be made public. On Thursday in Washington, the longest-serving Democrat in the House, Rep. John Dingell of Michigan, joined DeLay ". Maybe there is some hope, after all, for the seemingly morally bankrupt Democratic party?
Which is worse, leaks of the possible content of Starr's report by the Whitehouse and its operatives, or the release of the actual report, itself?
I suppose your answer to this question, depends on whether or not you personally want the truth to come out, or you want to continually and blindly defend the President, right or wrong. I say, let the chips fall where they may and release Starr's report to the public, though keeping Grand Jury testimony private through redaction ( I assume we will be seeing live testimony of some witnesses, via C-Span should Congress convene hearings of some type ).
Call or write your representitives, and tell them you want an end to the spin, once and for all!
