Cut The Cards?

Clinton's ' wag the dog ', media photo-op driven, pseudo foreign policy ' victories ' continue to fall apart!

NORTHERN IRELAND. Besides the failing foreign policies with Red China, North Korea, Iraq, and The Middle East; Clinton's precious Northern Ireland peace agreement has hit a snag. See: Clinton ( Foreign Policy ) Whitehouse of Cards Falling Apart? ( 12-4-98 ) . When will Clinton realize you can't rush the parties to sign a meaningless piece of paper, just for the sake of his media image as the grand peacemaker, and expect it to last?

The April 1998 peace accord seems to be falling apart at the seams. It is being reported that 14 were injured in Portadown in clashes between Protestants and police. Protestant David Trimble and Catholic John Hume will share the Nobel Peace Prize next week in Oslo, for a process that seems quite in doubt at the moment. Supposedly, the delay in implimentation of the accord is on the number and makeup of departments created in the new Irish administration. This was all to have been finished months ago, but obviously the applause for Clinton's expertise was a little early ( also awarding the Nobel Peace Prize ). Negotiating with the likes of Gerry Adams and the Sinn Fein, is very similar to negotiating with Arafat and the PLO; they are both confirmed terrorists, and can't be trusted. The Irish Republican Army has not disarmed itself, the same way Hamas and Islamic Jihad have not stopped attacking helpless Israelis. Why is the pro-British Trimble going to Washington DC, when the true concerns rest with Tony Blair and Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, who are in Belfast trying to see if Britain will be handing over power to the new government in Nothern Ireland in early 1999 as scheduled. I really doubt this is going to happen. They should have left the ' wag the dog ' Clinton administration out of it!

MIDDLE EAST ( revisited ). While Lafi Khalil, an illegal alien Palestinian terrorist type hiding in New York, is sentenced to a jail term and deportation, his roommate, Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer, awaits sentencing for plotting to bomb a New York subway. The plot was only exposed after another roommate turned them in, possibly stopping a bloody terrorist attack on US soil ( so much for our open door immigration policy? ). I suggest that Clinton may be reacting to domestic incidents of terrorism, by coddling the terrorist king Arafat. This could be typical Clinton foreign policy double speak, when he says one thing publicly and does another officially ( not ' tough ', but ' touchie-feely ' on terrorists? ). Does he really think that kissing up to the PLO and Arafat, while obviously leaving Israel high and dry, will encourage the mad dog arabs to cease planning hits on helpless American civilian targets? This would seem to be the case, after seeing the State Department side with the Palestinians yesterday. A great preliminary indication of this coddling of terrorits, will be if Airforce One lands at ' Terrorist International Airport ' in Gaza next week!

It is being reported that after Netanyahu spoke to Madeline Albright, he has dispatched Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon to Washington DC, to talk with the State Department. Netanyahu could not have been happy about James Rubin irresponsibly ordering Israel to " impliment the agreement as signed ". I guess Netanyahu has gotten tired of wading through the BS of the Clinton administration, and supplied Sharon with a shovel to clear his way off the plane? I assume Clinton will say one thing to Arafat and another ( possibly the opposite ) to Netanyahu, when he meets with them separately next week in the Middle East, in an attempt to salvage his tarnished and failed phoney foreign policy. I hope Netanyahu doesn't let himself get fooled again by Clinton, but sticks to his guns on not leaving the West Bank territory, until the questions of Jerusalem and the Palestinian state are cleared up to Israel's satisfaction. Don't hold your breath on this one, folks!

It should now be quite clear to all, that Clinton's fakery is not true foreign policy, but meddling in the foreign affairs of other countries!
