While United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan announces he will be appointing two special envoys to work on a peaceful solution to the Kosovo situation, from Berlin today; NATO ( American ) forces bomb and finally drop the last railroad bridge over the Danube down into it's muddy depths. Sadly, Kofi Annan can't do very much with a broken olive branch.
As Cornelio Sommaruga, the head of the International Red Cross, meets with the three American POWs being held by Yugoslavia; the NATO alliance ( America ) still hasn't released even a photograph of it's single so-called Yugoslavian POW ( really a hostage kidnapped by the terrorist KLA butchers )? If this prisoner does exist, he is probably so beat up and tortured, that Clinton wouldn't dare let the people of the world see his true condition for themselves.
With a Russia standing humiliated by NATO ( America ), reportedly Clinton's own representitive for the ' New World Order ', Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbot, was to meet with former Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin today to - as reported by the Associated Press, " try to cool Russia's anger over NATO airstrikes and keep Moscow engaged in efforts to find a diplomatic solution ". Yeah, sure; he was probably sent there to say, ' if you mess with our blockade, you can kiss any more IMF ( International Monetary Fund ) money good bye '. Clinton may finally be finding out, that when you surround yourself with yes-men, you can't expect them to do any decent negotiating, though they may do a great job of repeating your position over and over again, verbatim?
Viktor Chernomyrdin reportedly said " The blockade is bad. The strikes are bad. When people die, it's bad. This is why Russia is undertaking efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully ". Man, this is certainly a change for the Russians, to be harbingers of peace and not tyranny and war.
Now, NATO commanders are working up an operational plan for interdicting oil shipments at sea, while Russia's Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov in Moscow warns it will continue to supply oil to Belgrade. Can you spell C-U-B-A-N M-I-S-S-I-L-E C-R-I-S-I-S? I knew you could. If this international terrorist blockade of Serbia for this basic populationary need by NATO actually goes into effect, there undoubtedly will be an incident with a Russian tanker or warship. Can you spell C-R-A-Z-Y I-V-A-N? I knew you could.
French President Jacques Chirac questioned the legality of a blockade and warned of the dangers if oil tankers should resist NATO warships and have to be stopped and boarded forcibly. He said, " As far as the right of inspection, it is extremely sensitive because if a ship does not want to be inspected you have to seize it, and this in law is an act of war ". Now wait just a dog-gone minute here; isn't bombing a sovereign country back to the stone-age, an act of war? If it isn't, it certainly should be. Each and every NATO member country must be held responsible as war criminals for the intentional bombing of obviously civilian Serbian targets, as well. Oh I guess this isn't an " act of war " because they are all collectively categorized as " war crimes "?
It is also being reported that Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou said his country is worried about the impact of an embargo on Greek shipping and on the Yugoslavian Republic member, Montenegro, whose ports would be the target of NATO's imminent naval blockade.
NATO Secretary General Javier Solana said NATO had agreed Sunday to " stop all the supplies of oil to " Serbia, and, " If it is an embargo, it will apply to everybody ". This guy really seems to relish his new found role as a winner and Clinton mouthpiece. Proving he could do the old Arkansas adage/routine of ' do you believe me or your own lying eyes ' as well as the next Clinton robot, Solana further said that the " unanimity ( of all NATO members ) is total ", in favor of an oil blockade. Now wait a second, didn't he hear the French or Greeks voicing some heavy duty misgivings? Aren't France and Greece still members of the NATO alliance? They are, huh. Their current showing of " unanimity " is right in the two above paragraphs!
Sandy Berger was his cheesey self, as he commented, " any embargo on shipping oil to Yugoslavia has to apply to everybody. I expect that the Russians would comply with it ". Well, at least his teeth were probably clean, but not his hands. Have you noticed how all these Clinton robots shy away from using the word ' blockade ' and always say the word ' embargo ' instead? It's the Bill Clinton obedience training class on the parsing of words again. The lying, the parsing of words; it must all stop when it is our survival that is at stake. But the Clinton administration just can't seem to stop spinning...it must be the centrifugal force, of the damned White House gyroscope!
