Mediterranean Cruise?

It has not been smooth sailing for NATO!

While James Rubin does his practised Pinnochio imitation, disguised as a State Department briefing, Russia is sending a small fleet of surface ships from their Black Sea Fleet into the Mediterranean, to ' monitor ' NATO operations on Yugoslavia.

Senator Dianne Feinstein ( D ) said, " I think we must stay the course ". She described the President's foreign policy as, " a major humanitarian effort " and was supporting NATO's actions because she was sad " the world stood by during the holocaust ". Man, these Democrats just keep pulling out all the stops to elicit an emotional response from the choke-chain equipped American people!

CNN DNC robot Wolf Blitzer thought that by the time NATO was finished, " there may be no Kosovars left in Kosovo ".

Elizabeth Karadjordjevic, Princess of Yugoslavia and now an American citizen, had " antipathy " for the bombing of a sovereign country engaged in it's own civil war. She seemed to have total contempt for the Clinton administration and it's dehumanizing of the Yugoslavian Serbs. On the NATO attacks, she used flowery language to dehumanize NATO herself, saying " This is the way satellites think, they just scatter their bombs through the sky ".

The generally more hawkish Republicans have supported our troops, now that they are in combat. What they all agree upon, it seems, is that the Clinton administration was wrong to get involved in the way they did.

Senator John McCain ( R ) said, " The time for arguing is now sort of an academic discussion. We are in it now... if we fail here ( Kosovo ), in Baghdad and Tripoli they will be on the march. " He also said that we need " a robust campaign " and " things have not gone as we had planned ".

David Gergen, Democrat in Republican's clothing, said we should " use ground troops to create a safe enclave " in Kosovo. He just about summed it all up with, " United States honor is now at stake and Milosevic is spitting in our eye "! Gergen may have missed the point, though? Personally, I think it is only Clinton's honor that is at stake, and there isn't very much of that to be at stake to begin with ( if any at all! ).

See what your beloved despot Bill Clinton has brought us. He thought he was just going to ' wag the dog ' a little bit to improve his place in the history books, and maybe pick up the Nobel Peace Prize as a bonus. Now though, he is sacrificing the NATO alliance, possibly the integrity and honor of the American military and even his Democrat party itself, in this disgusting, unethical bid to rewrite history in his own image!
