Today, May 27th, at The Hague, in the Netherlands, the United Nations Tribunal on War Crimes in Yugoslavia handed out indictments on Slobodan Milosevic and four aides for committing atrocities in Kosovo. The fifty-two year old ultra left-wing Canadian chief prosecutor, former judge Louise Arbour, finally got her revenge for not being allowed to enter Kosovo province earlier this year while persuing an investigation of an incident in Racak, by calmly declaring the charges against Milosevic, herself personally. This would not be such an obvious publicity stunt, but there has never been an indictment of a sitting head of state before from the Hague. Yeah, that's right; usually they wait to see who the winners are, so that then the losers can be made to pay further, as they become " war criminals ". I mean man, you had to know this was coming; especially after Clinton and his NATO cronies have been unable to make Milosevic knuckle under with their terrorist bombing campaign.
The only way Louise Arbour could reclaim a portion of some perceived objectivity, would be by indicting the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army ( UCK ) leadership as well as their Yugoslavian nationalist counterparts. I mean, this could easily be done by using just the footage and testimony I have seen on international television. At the end of her indictment against Milosevic, there was a list of 340 Albanian victims, supposedly killed by Serbs. Where is the list of Serbs who have been killed by the KLA, or the criminal NATO bombing campaign? I say there are plenty of civilian casualties to go around for both sides!
The indictment includes three seperate charges against Slobodan Milosevic; Milan Milutinovic, deputy prime minister; Nikola Sainovic, an aide to Milosevic; Dragoljub Ojdanic, Yugoslavian General and Vlajko Stojiljkovic, minister of internal affairs of Serbia. Beside the casualties, the indictment included counts for the forced deportation of 740,000 Kosovar Albanians. There is no mention of the 500,000 Serbs who were forced out of Bosnia? Oh, you say that one is coming, but don't hold your breath. That court hasn't indicted any Albanians, be they cold blooded murders or not.
I also contend that NATO itself is heavily guilty of war crimes. The leadership of the NATO alliance, whether it be the real leader, Bill Clinton, or a convenient scapegoat like Javier Solana, must be made to answer for it's targetting of purely civilian locations in Yugoslavia, not to mention it's illegal, undeclared, sneak attack on Yugoslavia itself. NATO has openly tried to defend their targetting of innocent non-combatants, with the claim that the locations were " dual-use ". Somehow, I think the United Nations should be outraged at the targetting of civilian utilities, like television studios and water pumping stations!
Obviously Bill Clinton knew what was coming from the puppet United Nations Tribunal ahead of time, and he said today, " It will reassure the victims of Belgrade's atrocities in Kosovo and it will deter future war crimes by establishing that those who give the orders will be held accountable ". If their is any true justice, the NATO officials who gave the orders to bomb purely civilian targets in Yugoslavia will be held accountable. Clinton continued that he wanted to " make clear to the Serbian people precisely who is responsible for this conflict and who is prolonging it ". Don't worry Bill, the Serbs know you are responsible. On the other side, Belgrade called the tribunal a " political court ". It is being reported that France's interior minister, Jean-Pierre Chevenement, accused the court of having a " pseudo-moral vision instead of a political one ", and " the indictment does not serve peace ".
So, making Slobodan Milosevic's villification official will benefit the unholy Clinton NATO alliance in their imperialist campaign against Serbian Yugoslavia. The likes of Jamie Shea will now be able to exhort the invading NATO army to drive to Belgrade to take Milosevic into custody. The thought that while the Russian envoy is on the way to Belgrade, that Milosevic would be declared a war criminal, is ludicrous. This timing is more than questionable. Milosevic has truely replaced Mister Bill.
I can't wait for them to exhume those Albanians who were in the convoy of tractors " mistakenly " bombed by the NATO butcher-birds and then try to claim they were actually killed by the Serbs?
