U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright is not a Clinton/DNC/Whitehouse spinmeister and/or a Democrat party hack. Instead of knuckling under to political correctness and the great living God Pharoah Bill Clinton, she upheld the rule of law, where she had the authority to rule. It is quite sad that other politically appointed law makers ( and breakers ) couldn't muster enough courage or integrity, to stand up for the rule of law, like Wright did. She would not be bought or influenced by the Democrats and their holy first philanderer!
The Little Rock, Arkansas Federal judge ordered President Clinton to pay almost $90,000 to the Paula Jones legal team, Thursday, penalizing him for false testimony in court in his January 1998 deposition in Mrs. Jones' lawsuit.( CONTEMPT OF COURT ). This action was also explained to be a deterrence to copycat liars; or, as the judge said, others " who might consider emulating the president's misconduct ". She did open with this sentiment, though, " The court takes no pleasure in imposing contempt sanctions against this nation's president and, no doubt like many others, grows weary of this matter ". Okay, so she had to be polite; it is the President of The United States, after all, no matter who the chief executive may be personally.
Clinton's obliging lawyers, had argued that he should pay no more than $33,737, but Robert Bennet finally said, " We accept the judgment of the court ". Yeah, what else was he going to say?
Remember, Bill Clinton and his rich fatcat buddies had to cough up $850,000 to paid to Paula Jones in order to settle her sexual harassment lawsuit. The only question left to answer now, is whether or not Clinton's defense fund can pay for this fine from it's donations?
Well, in this matter, the old " lie, deny and stick to it " routine has worked well for the President. He has been able to serve out his elected term of office and the only penalties he got were monetary, and paid for by his special interest group cronies, not him personally. At least Judge Wright squared her own account!
