The Black Helicopter Crowd.

Yes, these unmarked aircraft do exist.

If you haven't read my no nonsense article on UFOs, and the possible visitation of Earth by aliens; it's right here: Enable your safety fields; we'll be landing on Earth in a moment. ( 7-4-98 )

I am not going to speculate on who the crews are of these unmarked, black painted, helicopters ( well maybe ), but only chronicle my direct observations of them! Repeat: THESE ARE MY OWN PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS. I am not going to name the exact locations of these sightings, and I apologize in advance for my vagueness. These sightings occurred from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, and have since ceased, in the areas concerned ( or at least not while I have been there ).

A group of my friends and I had occasion to frequent an area of desert land, that was close to a goverment airbase associated with the research and developement of high performance air and space vehicles ( it's name would be familiar to anyone ). While we were dozens of miles away from the base itself, we were often treated to " airshows " of high performance jet aircraft. Other, more current and/or normal aircraft we saw on a regular basis included transports ( C-130s ) and dark colored helicopters.

Finally, we got to see a few of these helicopters rather close up, more than once, I might add. They were Blackhawks ( I originally wrote AH-64s, but someone who was there that day convinced me to change it; they were not Hueys or Cobras for sure ) that were painted completely black, with no apparent markings or numbers, and also with incredibly dark tinted windows. Once, one of them actually hovered above us and pointed a nose cannon at us rather menacingly. Our reaction was not one of fear, but one of excitement...like, wow, check that out man...hey, they are pointing some kind of gun at us. We didn't think they were going to shoot us, as we were not dressed in military clothing or on restricted property, but in a public federal Bureau of Land Management area. We soon split, anyhow.

On subsequent occasions, I saw more of these helicopters and became interested in where they were coming from. Finally, I got lucky and saw one while I was driving. I drove in the direction the chopper was going, as I soon lost sight of it. I eventually came to a small " civilian " airfield with parked aircraft of all imaginable types and hangars. After poking around the place for a while, taking care not to enter any " private " areas or climbing fences; I caught a glimpse through an open side door into one of the hangars. There were three black helicopters and armed men, dressed in black, visible from my vantage point. I left immediately, being satisfied that I found out where they were coming from. I had no wish to disturb them, or find out just who they actually were. Why would a seemingly military, or goverment, group be using a small civilian airfield?

The CIA mission SR-71 Blackbird aircraft were black and unmarked. This may lead some to believe that the CIA is operating the infamous black unmarked helicopters as well.

I got a partial answer to my question of where they were coming from locally, but the ultimate questions of who they are and why they fly, remain unanswered.
