With Bill Clinton playing the " gift certificate card " to Americans in the State of The Bureaucracy ( Union ) speech the night before, Whitehouse Special Counsel Cheryl Mills played the " race card " in Clinton's impeachment trial in the Senate.
Like Senator Don Nickles said, " The only special interest group the President missed ( in his state of the union address ) was hog farmers ". I can think of another one he missed; adult college graduate taxpayers with no children! I won't rehash the specifics, but the era of big government is now back, from the ' gone '. Sure, Clinton promised to save Social Security first again, but he told the same identical lie about it last year and didn't follow through. You do understand that the budget surplus is all the result of income from the Social Security Trust Fund, actually more than the budget surplus amount. Social Security should be off the omnibus budget table, so a balanced budget could be achieved for real! Did anybody notice Clinton suggesting that the Federal government invest in the stock market? This is purely a communistic concept, where the government owns all businesses ( remember, in socialism only the utilities and transportation sectors are owned by the government ). Alan Greenspan already put this novel Karl Marx-like concept to rest, as ridiculous and unwise! So Clinton gave you the ice cream, and Cheryl Mills was about to supply the topping!
Greg Craig called the case for impeachment, " mumbo jumbo ", but it was his presentation that didn't fit the facts! To contrast the basic " blatantly lie through his teeth " tactics of Greg Craig, Cheryl Mills closed out the day with a soft sell of sickeningly sweet rhetoric filled half truths and direct calculated lies on the factual record. It should be quite obvious to all who have seen and heard the actual testimony, that she misrepresented Betty Currie's and Monica Lewinsky's testimony. The quotes and testimony she used out of context, only fortified the need to call witnesses to prove once and for all that she mischaracterized Clinton's conduct as innocent and/or personal. She invoked the name of Martin Luther King in the same sentence and in reference to Bill Clinton ( as well as Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and JFK ). She launched into a shameless ( I guess there is no shame at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue ) litany of civil rights related bullshit designed to stir up racial tensions in regard to the impeachment of the defendant-in-chief. " They struggle to do humanity's good ", she said, as she went into a story of how Clinton's father was a pillar of civil rights and part of the original foundation for a color blind society. She made Bill Clinton out to be a great civil rights activist and leader to be honored, and the House Managers trying to present the case for impeachment as evil bigots trying to enslave the people? Man, she is one sick puppy!
Cheryl Mills will go down in history as the lawyer who firmly played the race card for Bill Clinton. The national reaction will take a few days, but I already saw Democrat pundit Keith Watters react to Mills playing the race card by saying that " Republicans should denounce the white supremesist groups they are members of "? Here we go. The vileness and arrogance of the Whitehouse/DNC/Bill Clinton partisan political machine is rearing it's ugly head(s) again!
It's ugly, it's vile, it's your Whitehouse in action!
