Okay, so maybe it wasn't really C-Span, but " Clinton Raw - The Monica Lewinsky Deposition " was editted from it's original form!
I wonder exactly what was left out?
There were several blatant cuts, that should be quite obvious to any viewer. Two of these were in places where the President was getting visibly upset at the questions ( or the questioners ). Others were not quite as noticeable, but they still happened!
Maybe there really was some non-partisan action in the House Judiciary Committee, in agreeing to remove some highly prejudicial parts of the President's deposition!
I didn't agree with the committee releasing this video tape, but what's done is done. I thought the printed transcript would be enough.
I now understand why some believed that the public deserved to see the testimony for themselves. The President was given ample chances by the prosecutors to voice his own opinion, and make statements not in response to questions.
The images of Bill Clinton blinking and squirming when hit with simple questions ( not gross sexual inuendo ) was sobbering. To see where he asked to take a break ( and what question caused him to do it ), was very interesting.
