I just saw an interesting joint news conference. There were two things of note.

One. A foreign language question choked up the translator, and instead of a translation we got, " oh God, I can't translate that ". The answer was a non-answer; use your imagination.

Two. There was applause at the times the President addressed any issues regarding his moral authority? Applause? At a news conference, applause? It was more like canned laughter from the Tonight Show!

As the camera panned at the end, you could see that they held this event at an auditorium with a gallery. A gallery full of State Department and Whitehouse employees, and other DNC related types. Oh man, they are really wagging the dog hard, now. Turning a joint news conference into a choreographed media hype opportunity, oh please!

Once again, the President takes things to the limit. There is only an un-written rule against this kind of conduct!
