If you are a member of America On Line too bad for you. AOL sucks bigtime. I don't know one single person who has switched from a real internet provider to the pseudo environment of AOL. I do know dozens of people who have switched from AOL to any true internet dial-up provider, and they all agree AOL was the worst, error ridden pile of shit service in the known universe! Thank God I never used AOL and only listened and laughed at the stories of dropped carriers and errored downloads. One friend was over and he couldn't believe how fast, easy and lock-up free a normal internet connection was, in respect to the AOL connection he was used to. He immediately switched to my provider, by the way, and is happily experiencing error free web browsing.

My problem with AOL is the SPAMMERs who inhabit their intelligence challenged domain. AOL gives away free email accounts but refuses to police their blatant sending of SPAM! It has gotten so bad, that I was getting three or four SPAMS from AOL users per hour? The assholes at their abuse support section are only capable of maintaining the automated reply response machines, and not looking into SPAMMERS and HACKERS who are using their poor excuse for an internet provider to reek havoc on innocent web surfers. They are only concerned with spending as little money as possible on support, to maximize their company profits!

AOL will eventually have to deal with the criminals who are using their unmonitored service to commit actions of invasion or privacy as agents of AOL. AOL has a duty to insure that their users don't abuse others. I smell class action lawsuit coming, if they don't get their act together and stop the unrelenting email SPAM coming from their shitty domain!
