Only the most loyal or robotic of the DNC-forever, hide their heads in the sand, vote for the Democrat no matter how corrupt he and his cronies are, apathetic automatic election day hole punchers, will blindly support Vice President Al Gore for the office of president in the year 2000 elections ( providing he does get the Democratic nomination ).
Al Gore may have had a boy scout-like image before he consorted with the Devil in the Whitehouse for eight years, but it is completely gone now! This positive image has been replaced by a decidedly negative one consisting of such campaign season phrases like " no controlling legal authority " ( referring to his dialing for illegal campaign dollars from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue ) and photographic and video tape images of his illegal funding raising event at a California Buddhist Temple ( what the heck was he thinking, anyhow? ). The only crowds he heats up these days, are the imaginary global warming groupies and the Democrat anti-tobacco Nazis, who seem to have forgotten that while he was growing up he " picked it, shucked it ", etc.!
The identification of Al Gore with indecency and immorality arises from his connection with ( and his blind defense of ) Bill Clinton, but he has a pile of far extreme left wing wacko positions, which defy all common logic, that he brought with him to the Clinton Whitehouse. I am quite sure that both the Democrats and the Republicans will be pointing them all out to us as the year 2000 election approaches, ad nauseum!
I mean man, Al is really groping ( He should be good at this too, if he bothered to sneak a look at his/the master at work! ) for issues when he has to talk traffic. Check this out man, this guy is really hurting bad for a non-Clinton-related issue, so he proposed that the Federal Communications Commission establish a national hotline using the numbers 211 or 511 to give travellers and drivers instant information, such as road conditions and bus schedules, but not for emergency use. Oh well, I guess Al didn't bother to think this one through. I thought local news radio stations give you the weather and bus schedules were already available, and if you don't have the number there is always 411 ( also already available )? So this would be my question, " Hey Al, where you been since they invented the cellular phone? "
And now Gore announces a " Passenger Bill of Rights " for airline passengers. Sheesh man, isn't anything sacred from Gore's extreme left wing socialist bids for governmental control? For God's sake, you just fly another airline if you have a bad experience with one or another. Hey, hit them with a big lawsuit if the incident warrants it. The airline is offering the service and is criminally and civilly responsible while you are in their ' care '! I mean Democrats are pushing this thing in the legislature, how embarassing. I actually saw Democrat Senator Richard Bryan pushing this ludicrous notion on television. Are these liberal Democrats really that willing to turn our republic into a socialist state? Remember, a socialist state is one in which the transportation industry and utilities are owned and/or controlled completely by the central government. It is just sad, how the Democrats are turning over every rock, to find an issue they can use their spinmeister machine on!
Why is there even a Secretary of Transportation at all, huh? Surely, this department is not there to control the individual civil rights of each and every one of the travelling public? That would really start to sound like " The People's Travel Bureau ", or something as equally communistic, socialistic, or just as " National-ID-Cardistic "! There already is a Commerce Department, after all, for commercial regulation!
This one was really a laugh today. Al Gore has been like the plague in every poll taken by anyone. This is important because polling has been the biggest factor in determining how this administration makes it's decisions. These negative polling numbers must really be bothering Gore, because he recently said, " Polls are simply predictions of the future, in this case of an election that's two years away, and you know the old saying that six months is a lifetime in politics. That means there are four lifetimes between now and then ". Dream on Al, the Associated Press reported that a poll of 1,203 adults released last month by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press showed 45 percent of registered voters surveyed said there was no chance they would vote for him. This is not good news for Mister Sierra Club!
So you liked that one huh? How about this series just released in a Gallup Poll taken of 1,014 people Friday through Sunday. 1) As of today, do you lean more toward Al Gore, the Democrat, or Elizabeth Dole, the Republican? Gore, 45 percent; Dole, 50 percent. Sorry Al, and we have never elected a woman as president. 2) As of today, do you lean more toward Al Gore, the Democrat, or George W. Bush, the Republican? Gore, 41 percent; Bush, 56 percent. Wow Al, it sure looks like you are going to be unemployed come January, 2001. Don't worry though, those unemployment percentages are nice and low right now!
Watching Al Gore trying to spin up some hot issues out of thin air, would not be as much fun as watching him bobbing for issues at Halloween, and that's coming, I guarantee it!
