Alan Dershowitz calls George Sensenbrenner a liar?

Alan Dershowitz ' testilies ' himself into hypocracy once again!

For someone who makes such a big deal about police testifying falsely, Alan Dershowitz has a history of playing fast and loose with the truth. He is a lawyer and knows when he is under oath and not. When he is not under oath to tell the truth, he lies with the emotion and conviction of a trained liar ( lawyer? )!

Beside the numerous misleading statements ( lies ) he told on television in support of his beloved client eventually held responsible for two deaths ( OJ ), he has taken his misquoting, out of context, campaign of vicious rhetoric to the airwaves in support of the first philanderer. Twisting Mark Fuhrman's testimony about hat and glove into a fictitious reference to glove(s) by his ( Fuhrman's ) use of " them " or " they "; and additionally mischaracterizing Fuhrman's answers to questions after ascerting his Fifth Amendment privilege into phoney denials of conduct were only puny plans to deceive. His attack on Republican House Manager George Sensenbrenner was both direct and completely false!

On January 14th ( yesterday ) Sensenbrenner made a comment in his opening statement about Charles Ruff, Clinton's attorney, finally admitting that " reasonable people could determine he lied before the Grand Jury ". Dershowitz obviously wants to defend Clinton at all costs, so he went on media talk shows after the Senate adjourned and accused the truthful Sensenbrenner of lying to the Senate. Sorry Alan Dershowitz, it was you who were misleading ( lying ) to the television public!

Dershowitz read and/or displayed a quotation from Ruff, obviously stating that the President was truthful. Ruff did say that, but he also said what George Sensenbrenner said he did. I was watching the darn thing and rememebered quite vividly! I had to review my video record before being specific and so there could be no doubt about it.

On December 9, 1998 Charles Ruff was a witness in the Clinton defense portion of House Judiciary Committee proceedings. During that proceeding George Sensenbrenner questioned Ruff on Bill Clinton's Grand Jury testimony. After repeatedly asking, " did he ( Clinton ) lie? " several times, Ruff kept giving a " he was maddening and evasive " but " didn't cross over the line " type of explanation/answer. Finally, at 2:30 minutes into his questioning, Sensenbrenner said for the last time, " But did he lie? ". Charles Ruff responded, " Reasonable people, and you maybe have reached this conclusion, could determine he crossed over that line ". This is fairly clear to me, the " line " he is refering to is the difference between a lie and the truth. Check the record, if you think I am trying to mislead!

Why did Alan Dershowitz ignore this truth, and instead call Sensenbrenner a liar? I saw him on MSNBC being very vehement in his attack on the truthful Sensenbrenner. Doesn't he owe him an apology for lying or misleading the television audience in this despicible way? This type of twisting and taking things out of context, is what Dershowitz seems to be the best at, sadly.

Just like Dershowitz wishing to take back his agreement with House Judiciary Committee members that ' perjury before a Grand Jury is an impeachable offense ', he will twist and warp the truth until confronted with a tape or transcript of the actual proceedings!
