Either way, a cruel joke is being played on the American people, and they are taking to the campaign of sickeningly sweet leftist propaganda, like a pigeon to a statue of Leon Trotsky. Is Clinton really only cooperating with NATO in a bid for the Nobel Peace prize? Or, is a better question, just who is Bill Clinton paying back and for what? A more likely question/answer is that Clinton is covering up something ( isn't Clinton always covering up something? )? Like, what or who is he doing down there at Camp David while Hillary and Chelsea are in camel jockey land ( would you like one hump or two? )?
Clinton cited humanitarian and historical reasons for his decision to attack Yugoslavia ( and use the NATO alliance as a co-partner and pretext in launching the attack ). This could not be farther from the truth.
Clinton claimed World War I and World War II both started there and Kosovo was a fire waiting to spread, even to Greece and Turkey! In reality, WW I was only triggered by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, which just happened to take place in the Balkans. WW II saw the Balkans subdued by German forces very early on and Yugoslavia joining with the Third Reich to fight Russia. Tito was a vicious communist dictator, though you may say there were worse. Tito had a small communist resistance that appeared late in the war and he was very lucky to escape that conflict with his life. The Greeks and Turks have both declared that the Kosovo problem had no chance of causing a conflict between them.
The Kosovo region has been an area of conflict between Christians and Muslims for hundreds of years, and one side or the other has, from time to time, engaged in the massacre of civiians and the destruction of whole towns. The humanitarian reasons given, are those of genocide and ethnic cleansing. Tim ( see: Sunday Conspiracy of Silence? ( 3-28-99 ) Russert had it right on his chart that showed the numbers of dead in Kosovo just don't begin to approach those numbers from many other places around the globe, from Ethiopia to Sudan. The ethnic Albanians killed in this horrible manner, number in the tens and at the most, thousands. I would ask, what about the 300 thousand Serbs cleansed from Croatia just recently, huh? This Kosovo Liberation Army group is no bunch of pussycats. They are vicious communist muslim terrorists and their group itself was classified as such, late last year by Clinton's own State Department! Can you spell O-S-S-A-M-A B-I-N L-A-D-E-N; I knew you could. So ask yourself this question, " What gives? " Shrug your shoulders and vote for some more of those liberal Democrats, if you want this type of situation to continue into the next millennium! We can no longer afford to be the world's policeman!
As we use up the surplus from the Social Security Trust Fund on downed United States aircraft and expended ordnance over Yugoslavia, the only foreseeable benefactor is maybe Hughes or Raytheon! At 45 million dollars a piece, Lockheed is no longer manufacturing F-117As anymore. But, at a mere 700 thousand dollars per cruise missile and/or a few hundred thousand dollars a piece for other air-to-air or air-to-ground expendable weapons, some of those military contractors who were so generous to the Clinton/Gore/DNC Campaign coffers recently, are in for some new gratuitous orders this year!
Clinton rationalized beginning these bombings of mostly innocent people in Yugoslavia, as a measure taken to bring ( or force ) both parties back to the negotiation table. Anyone with half a brain, now has to realize that Clinton's holy NATO bombing has made it virtually impossible for the two parties to ever sit down face to face again. The Serbs may have made a deal with autonomy for Kosovo as the object before we bombed the heck out of them, but now that they have dead people and destroyed property, they will want revenge or to have their way! How could Clinton have been this incredibly stupid? I guess, that is what he gets with a CPA-like lawyer type like Sandy Berger giving him bogus uneducated foreign policy advice What a debacle!
The real truth may be that Clinton is trying to take the heat off his corrupt: Department of Justice ( with the sensitive Janet Reno ), DNC ( with Al Gore busy dialing for campaign dollars ), State Department ( headed by the Chinese fry-cook resume' equipped Sandy Berger ) and White House ( with the real President, Hillary Rodham, off on vacation ). His administration is the dirtiest in the history of our republic ( maybe that is why he likes Red China so much? ), and he is personally the most corrupt individual to enter hold the office of president ( though Hillary is arguably the real brains behind this dirty duo )!
So now you say that there is no way the NATO member nations would allow themselves to be used this way ( to help Clinton's personal cover-up scheme ). Oh, don't underestimate Bill Clinton's capacity for lying and being underhanded. He had something to offer NATO, U.S. air strikes, and he only begged to be able to launch them at the time of his convenience. Well, he got his wish.
Finally, many legislators and media talking heads are getting hip to the KLA ethnic cleansing and have stopped painting all the Serbs with the Slobodan Milosevic paint brush. I believe even liberal Democrats will eventually have to admitt the grave error in foreign policy that Bill Clinton has facilitated, with this bombing campaign. Just look at the tension and friction that Clinton has created between Russia and ourselves. The streams of refugees leaving Kosovo right now is partly caused by the bombing campaign of the Holy Clinton Empire ( NATO )!
Oh yeah, we must not forget that Clinton has not personally addressed the allegations of rape by Juanita Broaddrick or fully explained his Commerce Department or State Department giving/selling nuclear and missile technology to Red China ( that would be falling for his puny ' wag the dog ' plan, hook line and sinker ). Lastly, I think I heard that out of the thousand plus pages in the Christopher Cox report on Red Chinese spying and DNC campaign coffers that was released today, only a few dozen are being released to the American public. They can't hide the treasonous truth from us forever!
